10-Year-Old Ohio Boy Admits To Killing His Mother over chores

A truly tragic tale: 10-year-old Joseph McVay of Ohio confessed to shooting and killing his mother after an altercation involving his chores.

The folks at ABC captured McVay's chilling 911 call on video, during which, shocked and despondent, the young boy confesses to the crime. A police search following the horrific turn of events revealed six guns in McVay's bedroom, including a loaded rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun.

McVay had allegedly been demonstrating behavioral issues; most recently, he fought with a bus driver and hit a school principal with a dust pan. According to his brother, Joshua Mike, his mother often rose to Joseph's defense after such episodes.

"My mother was the best mother I could ask for...anyone could ask for," Joshua said. "I know my brother didn't mean to kill his mama."

McVay will be tried as a juvenile. His court-appointed lawyer has already plead not guilty on his behalf.
