Serving as further evidence that the stylus really is back, Dell's coy enterprise slate, the Latitude S is now available for pre-order with an estimated delivery date of November 29th and an $859 price tag. If your too impatient to wait for Windows 8, this one's sporting Microsoft's seventh generation, weighs a hefty 816g -- nearly twice as much as the BlackBerry PlayBook -- and contains a 1.5GHz Intel Atom Z670 processor. Following HP's announcement of a new Slate, Dell is next to launch a tablet for corporate users with the Latitude ST.

Like the HP Slate 2, Dell's 10-inch slate is powered by an Intel Atom processor and runs on Windows 7. It's a fully featured tablet with front- and rear-facing cameras, USB, HDMI and both Wi-Fi and mobile broadband wireless connectivity options. The tablet is also built to withstand the rigors of different environments like hospitals and classrooms, with features such as a rubberized bumper and a Corning Gorilla Glass screen.

The device also supports enterprise features such as data encryption though BitLocker, an optional Trusted Platform Module, and will work with desktop virtualization and remote management solutions.

These hardware and software features add up to a rather hefty slate weighing 816g, but we believe that it will appeal to enterprises that are heavily invested in Windows-based IT infrastructure. The Dell Latitude ST is available now in Singapore from S$1,050.

A tablet that cost more than an Apple product? They might as well get a rope and hang themselves now.

Having an OS that you need an anti-virus program is not good for a tablet. at niggas catching viruses on a tablet.
