Naw he's right. A lot of transplant recipients have to take meds to keep the body from rejecting the transplant. This boy has TWO transplants so his body may be fighting to reject the hands because his immune system will see them as foreign. He might have to take hella meds for the rest of his life just to keep his hands.

CHOP is a great hospital. When my daughter was 5 she was mauled by a pit bull. The dog opened up her cheek and put a hole in her face giving her what amounted to a second mouth. She is very fair skinned and I was scared that she'd have horrible scars that would follow her for life. But they did a wonderful job at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia of closing the wound and using plastic surgery to make her face look like she'd never been attacked. Its an incredible place. My daughter is 21 now and she is the campus queen at her college.

Yeah, but there are anti-rejection drugs to deal with that. He will have to take them for the rest of his life but that's a good price worth paying for what he has gained.
