TV SHOWS / SERIES - Seen any good ones lately? Please feel free to post reviews / feedback / trailers / articles / TV news / all that shit ...

That sucks man. The show itself was not good. Production was worst ever by far. Conan was fine. The awards themselves and the films nominated were all good. But there was zero magic in terms of the creative direction/vision for the show. They need to dig deep and come way harder. 99 years and then 100?!?!!! That should be absolute must see TV. Regardless of what hell is unfolding around the world - folks should be able to trust this show will be a genuine escape. All the millions upon millions spent to campaign for these people and projects… major major failure if the award show doesn’t realize IT needs to be at least somewhat as well done as the projects it’s supposed to be honoring. The least creative/innovative way to celebrate the highest levels of creative and innovative achievement… FOH

It wasn't horrible

I disagree it was bad.

And low ratings mean no one even gave it a chance so even if it was good?

Most would have missed it.

Watched the first 3 episodes of of The Madison thus far. It's a slower pace and heavy-handed like lots of other work from Taylor Sheridan, but a great performance from Michelle Pfeiffer. Happy to see her again as I last watched her years back in 2017's Murder on the Orient Express. The remainder of the cast is primarily her family of asshole city slickers, but she's doing a great job in her role. It's only a 6-episode season, so the remaining eps will be released on March 21st. It's been renewed for a 2nd season.

Finished season 2 of Hijack last week, but unfortunately it wasn't as strong as season 1. The setting / environment just wasn't as appealing being darkly-lit / subway for the most part. Less overall characters too compared to season 1 which was airplane-based. Looking back I would have preferred just another plane-based season, to be honest.

Started Rooster in the past week. Definitely enjoyable, and better than I expected. Very amusing at times, and Bill Lawrence is on a role in recent years with Ted Lasso, Bad Monkey, Shrinking, and more. Viewers will recognize the likes of Carell, Deadwyler, McGinley, Dunster, etc.

Meant to add ... Shrinking season 3 has been consistently good. They're just over 2/3 done the current season, and the show has known what it is for awhile. Being able to blend the humorous, with the more serious / emotional. Harrison Ford has been excellent.

I thought Conan did a better job hosting last year.

The stage design looked great this year. There were no real major surprises / upsets though. One Battle / Sinners / Frankenstein were definitely the big winners on the night.

There were no areola peeks or nipslips.

Interesting to see Marty Supreme essentially get shut out.

Classy tribute to Rob Reiner, but like every year with award shows there were people left out of In Memoriam, but a number that were included that no one's really ever heard of.

Running joke with a few friends was - "When were the votes tallied by PriceWaterhouseCooper? Were they quite some time ago, or closer to the 'controversy' about ballet / opera by Chalamet, lol?"

Word on the street is that Lorne Michaels is gonna executive-produce this show for another 50 years until he's 130-some-odd years old!

Spent too much time with the Acting stuff.

What was shown with the acting gig in the first episode was enough, after that it just dragged it down.

The WHOLE thing was a love letter to acting and the business and friendship and what a real hero is and performance etc.

It wasn't ever meant to be your traditional superhero series thats why it wasn't advertised as such.

We NEED to continue to expand the genre like this

I understand your not liking it..

I thought it was one of the best projects Marvel has done on TV.

The critics / podcasters really liked it.

It dealt too much with acting.

Like I said, the first episode summed it all up with how eccentric the character was with acting and his love and dedication to the art form.

That’s all I needed.

If I was doing this series. I would have repeated what they are doing with ‘WandaVision’ splitting the plot amongst 3 different series giving a complete story and leading into something bigger on Disney+.

The first part of the trilogy would be ‘She-Hulk’ which ended with a sub-plot of her being an attorney for people with powers who get in trouble.

The 2nd part of the trilogy would be ‘Wonder Man’ the first episode was perfect. After that instead of dragging out the acting, Simon while hiding his powers gets in trouble like what we saw in the episode ‘Doorman’. That brings back She-Hulk in a small supporting role defending him and taking the plot of the season in the direction leading it into ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.

The 3rd part of the trilogy would be a ‘Jessica Jones’ season. Jessica’s name was shown quickly in Jennifer’s cell phone during her series. Bring in Jessica having her work with Jennifer along with bringing in Wonder Man for a small supporting role, but use the season mainly to bring back Luke Cage and Iron Fist leading into a ‘Defenders’ series on Disney+ leading into ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’.

Have the Defenders series the Disney+ version of the Avengers bringing all the Disney+ minor characters together for a big action fight against Mephisto who was introduced in ‘Iron Heart’.

Hey Disney/Marvel, there ain’t no future with driving trucks, I’m available for a Writing Job.

HaHa!!!

March 18, 2026

Netflix announced that Maxwell Jenkins, Abby Ryder Fortson and Tanner Hagen will join Mckenna Grace in the live-action TV remake of ‘Scooby-Doo.'

While the ‘Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ star will portray Daphne Blake, Maxwell Jenkins (‘Lost in Space’) will star as Fred Jones, Abby Ryder Fortson (‘Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.’) will play Velma Dinkley and Tanner Hagen (‘The Pitt’) will portray Scooby’s bestie Shaggy Rogers.

In what Netflix described as a “modern reimagining” of the beloved franchise—the first live-action remake of the cartoon since 2004’s ‘Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed’ starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr., Linda Cardellini and Matthew Lillard—viewers will see the origin story of the mystery gang and how the friends meet Scooby for the first time.
