UNRIVALED and the WNBA and the NCAAW

I watched this interview when I woke up last Saturday morning doing My Internet/Youtube rounds.

All I can say is...F**KIN' WOW!!!

This is one of the few interviews I sat through without getting off of My couch. Totally honest and captiving was StewYork. And for a White Woman to sit among a group of Brothers and discuss their similarities of Sports and Life together was very awe-inspiring. Especially when Stewart didn't hold back regarding her sexual abuse. Which was shocking in that many victims/survivors tend to not discuss an issue like that in front of Men. Especially Black Men. But She was totally comfortable. ShoutOut to Channing, Ryan, and Fred for allowing Stewart that space to process and discuss.

Stewie's been "My Girl" since her UCONN days. She's only gotten better.

As a 60+ year old Black Male Basketball Fan who's loved the WNBA (along with the ABL) since its humbled beginnings, its great to see the league growing to these new heights. No matter how much some in Sports Media and Ignorant people who claim to be "fans" want to belittle it.

Hell.
I watch more WNBA than NBA these days.

Again,
GREAT INTERVIEW!!!
Shit is a MUST WATCH!!!
fantastic reply, and I agree with you.

Mike Lindsay Sr.
Audi is the reason many are leaving, too much emphasis put on her getting hers instead of the team being able to play

Gessel Berry
Mike Lindsay Sr. I don't think it's HER, though. She is a GREAT teammate! I feel like the COACH is to blame..... HE hasn't grown their games and meshed their strengths together. Everybody keeps blaming Audi, but she can only get away with what SHE is allowed by THE COACH!

Jeffery Gammons
Three colleges in three years.......

Tony Williams
I am a big Uconn fan, but I know Dawn Staley will have her women ready. Uconn is in for a fight. So here is my prediction, I predict one team will win and one team will lose. Anyone who says one team will win over the other is just guessing. That's how closely matched they are. Good luck to both teams. Go UCONN     :giggle:

Here’s the rules for Expansion Draft regarding free agents:
There are additional stipulations that the Fire and Tempo must follow in the Expansion Draft. Any unprotected player who has five or more years of service and does not have a contract for the 2026 season is considered a “Potential Unrestricted Free Agent.” Portland and Toronto can only select one player each that fits that description. If the player they select is eligible to be designated as a Core Player, they can make that designation. If the player is no longer eligible for a Core designation, the expansion team that selects that player will be the only team that can negotiate a supermax contract with that player.

1. Who this rule applies to
• Players with 5+ years experience
• AND no contract for 2026
1f449.png
Basically: veteran players about to hit free agency
2. What the expansion teams (Portland & Toronto) can do
• They can each pick ONLY ONE of these players
1f449.png
They can’t load up on multiple veteran free agents
3. If they pick one of those players
• If the player can still be “cored” → the team can lock them in like a franchise player
• If the player can’t be cored anymore → that expansion team has an exclusive advantage:
• They’re the ONLY team that can offer that player a supermax deal
