Back inthe days, straight men ruled the movie industry - so they had womanly women in roles - today, so many pedos that are in the film industry are into little girls or gays into boys and they like those flat chested noassatall skinny bodies -
It's still audience who decides what films are successful. If people don't want to see super skinny actresses, it would show in the box office sales. If people want big titties like Sydney Sweeney, that's what they'll get.

You can say that but if the audience is only given very skinny, flat chested, flat ass actresses who once they become famous become even skinnier. Then the audience doesnt' have a choice. Yes Sydney Sweeney is highlighted because she is so rare out here and even she is having trouble getting the top roles.

There's always a choice. Don't pay to see the films. Just like Republicans say "go woke, go broke." No one is forced to pay for that content. Hollywood will listen because the studios only care about the bottom line. As for Sweeney, the right wing made a big deal about her body. That's what made people take notice of her shape.

Oh, and if Hollywood goes for full-figured women, you'll have the idiots (mostly right wing white men) complaining that Hollywood has gone "woke" and given in to fat activism and body acceptance. There's already a backlash against BBLs which, while fake, is at least an embrace of voluptuous female body types.

Shit, even on Black spaces like The Coli you have dudes talking about "one burger away" whenever there's a woman with some meat on her bones. So, there would be criticism either way.

And to wrap up, skinny chicks have had an advantage for decades in Hollywood. That's not a recent trend. Why do you think Sir Mix-a-lot name checks Jane Fonda in "Baby Got Back"? That's because Hollywood preferred women with her shape (and complexion) over women who looked like Angela Bassett or even to more voluptuous white actresses.

that could be because she isn't a very good actress...she is cinema eye candy. could be a leading woman but needs to train more.acting is like any skill, you gotta put in the work to be great. second tv & movies add weight, she looks thicker than she is in reality. Brothas here should know that nice C cups look HUGE on a slim jawn and she, like most white actresses cast as the pretty broad in shows, she's small as fuck.

People only need to compare some white actresses who were popular in the 60s-80s -- Jane Fonda, Olivia Newton-John, Farrah Fawcett, Bo Derek, Morgan Fairchild -- and white actresses who've been popular since the 00s -- Katherine Heigl, Brie Larson, Florence Pugh, Margot Robbie, Jennifer Lawrence, Sydney Sweeney -- and see there's almost no difference in body type. If anything, the newer generation of actresses are slightly curvier but still overall thin.

Hollywood has been on this time for decades.

I agree with you - not a Sydney Sweeney fan, too vapid

that squad were eye candy....but for every jane fonda back then there was a sophia loren. women like gina lollobrigida, raquel welch, jane mansfield. so there were voluptous women in acting then and now....

That was basically my point. You can find the actresses with the curves, or those without, then and now.

Also you can add Mamie Van Doren and, of course, Marilyn Monroe to your classics squad.
