I just told my wife my same concern. Trump may have bombed Kharg island in preparation of a US Marine amphibious invasion with 2,500 troops in order to seize its oil resources. The problem is that Iran can sink the USS Tripoli and its escort ships once it goes through the Strait of Hormuz and even if we capture the island they can bombard our Marines and exact heavy casualties because it's only 16 miles from the Iranian mainland.

Air support is risky because all air bases that are close have been destroyed. Sending ships into the strait is a one way suicide mission leaving ground troops stranded and open targets for missile attacks.

I’ve been seeing reports that Mojtaba Khamenei was killed too. This war is wild. If Netanyahu is dead, Isreal will likely wave the White flag. I hope Iran doesn’t let them off the hook. IMO, a rebuild payment and American withdrawal is not enough.

He's wrong. Biden was not the only President to do so. U.S. Presidents, Bill Clinton, Bush II, and Obama also pushed back against Bibi's "Iran will soon have nuclear weapons" pan-handling, which did not begin under Biden's term.

Pakistan and India are mostly focused on each other - their shit is baisically - we can shoot at each other conventionally but if we start to lose too much we'll go nuclear
US promises nuclear retaliation if attacked by radioactive, chemical or biologial weapons along with nukes
Also will initiate a premptive strike if it believes it will be attacked using the weapons listed
most other countries promise nuclear retaliation only if attacked with nuclear weapons
using a nuke against Iran would be stupid and ineffective
its the same problem Gaza presents -
their forces are underground deep enough to be shielded from any nuclear attack
and in Iran's case it won't stop them from raining drones and missles
