which death from The Wire affected you the most?

I've never given a thought to any death on the wire except for the security guard. Damn he should let that go but he wanted a little respect. He wanted dude to just not be obvious about stealing, but in doing so got himself killed.

:lol: I forgot that dude name. That was Bodie homeboy wasn't it? Yea that look on his face, you already know he was getting bodied and he knew it too. Yea he was a minor character but yea that was struck home. He's taking the last ride of his life.


:lol: @ #2. It did feel like you grew up with the dude. I remember tellin' people damn man they got Bodie and people looking at me like "Who the fuck is Bodie?". Wire did a good job of drawing you in with a lot of characters.

It took two pages to get to someone to say this.

All the other deaths had me hurt but this fucked me up.
I no longer cheered for them dudes after that.
 
he didn't die so to speak but the end when you see Dukie shootin up i was like "AWWWW NAWWWWWWW"

y'all pretty much covered everything. i know no one really liked season 2 but i thought frank sobotka getting murked was effed up. on the other hand, 2 of the most satisfying deaths on that show had to be when lex capped fruit for fukking with his babymom's (never liked that bastard for the way he tried to play cutty) & when slim charles popped cheese right in the middle of his bullshyt we are the world speech

i was most pissed off to see bodie go.

the non-death that affected me the most was when cutty couldnt pull the trigger when he had the drop on fruit.:smh: i had high hopes for that dude. he coulda been colder than weebay if he got back into the swing of things. he was really the only street cat that went legit though so i aint mad.
 
mine was actually Cheese.
since Method Man was the most recognizable character on the show, i always expected his death to be more dramatic and drawn out.
to get popped in the middle of that big monolouge surprised the hell outta me.

Little Kevin's was the funniest. It took 2, 3 cats to get him in the car.
He deserved it the most though. Stupid mofo ain't have to tell Randy shit.
Plus, he got Lex killed and that supposed to be part of his crew
 
I liked the Stringer character but that nigga had to go.

I really hated that nobody merked Marlo. I didn't like the way he was able to get out of the game. Even if he wouldn't have gotten killed, he should've gotten fucked up real bad to the point that he wished that he was dead. He should've been forced out the game that way instead.

I also hated that Chris only got life in prison. He should've got merked too. Never liked him nor Snoop. But I really didn't like the Chris character. He killed muhfuckas for no reason at all.

What was Omar's homegirl name? The one that got killed in the shootout outside of one of the Barksdale's dopespots? That was fucked up. Its was also crazy how the Barksdale goons posted up at the funeral home waiting for Omar to show up.

you talking about Tosha. Omar's booty buddy Dante shot her in the head by accident during that shoot out. that shit was realistic as hell.

Killing the security guard was wrong, dude didn't even bust him, he just wanted Marlo to respect him but Marlo wanted absolute respect.

He could've achieved the same result with the security guy by just roughing him up a little, you could already tell from their convo that he was "shook" as it was.

Peeps really need to understand that Marlo exhibited despot behavior, (think Stalin) eventually all those around him would get killed, including Chris, you saw Marlo's reaction to Chris withholding the info about Omar calling him out.

Dude just wasn't trying to work with others.

De'Angelo quite frankly caused his own death.

Stringer had his reasons (wanting D's girl, D calling him out about Wallace's death) but his coldness towards his own cousin who was trying to look out for him sealed his fate, to me it was the reason why when D's mother told Avon about MsNulty, Avon didn't tell her that Stringer ordered it, Avon had slipped and could have absolved himself and didn't, which showed that he had his own doubt about D.
