You can't tell me CACs don't hate to see the QB position going to blacks...

Todd McShay and Mel Kiper...

I'm not sure if they're just bad at their jobs or if they simply intend to hate on black players. It was no more than 1 month ago...McShay projected that Cam Newton would go in the late 1st to early 2nd round.

Kiper even went as far as to say Mallett and Locker were superior QBs and that both would/should go before Newton.

I just get the feeling that CACs are in denial when it comes to the QB position and are still of the opinion that this thinking position should be reserved for whites (a'la..."Vick's a good athlete, but not a true QB").

It's the last glorified position they "have" in sports, so they are trying to protect it with everything they can muster.
It won't be long though.
They can't really compete at any other position (with the exception of a few players) on the field besides kicker.

Im a Panthers fan and the hate is strong as hell...maybe he won't be great but they acting like he is the first person to ever have one superior year and then head to the draft...I go to a board called Carolina Huddle and you should see the division on there...but let Newton do better than they ever think and they'll treat him like gold till he fucks up like Vick or something (always happens to black athletes some time along the way)

I never seen kiper or mcshay rank cam lower than 16. Mcshay is partial he basically got jamarcus drafted number one overall.

The NFL QB position gives present day blacks a glimpse into the Jim Crow Mentality. A lot of the questions and stereotypes whites (and ignorant blacks who just mimic what they say) pose towards every single black QB that gets to this level are nothing but rehashed Jim Crow Era stereotypes. Which makes sense because the present day QB position was created solely for whites during a time when blacks were banned from playing in the NFL in the 1930s. Its a glamorized leadership position and the "star" of the show so to speak, so it shouldnt shock people that folks are slow or very resistant to seeing young black men hold those positions. We're talking about a sport thats been well over 60% black for quite some time, but has only had 1 black GM in league history. The NFL is just now breaking down barriers that the other leagues have decades ago. This black QB shit is still a rather new phenomenon.

:yes::yes: The shit really gives me that President Obama feeling...maybe I'm reaching but it just has that vibe...they hate to see a black man with the chance to make something happen...they going to throw a dog fighting charge on him I can feel it lol

im gonnna play devil's advocate.mel and tod said the same things about tim tebow when projecting his draft, he cant read defenses, he's not accurate enough, he's gonna have to goto the right system, you cant start him too soon. The earliest draft projections for tim tebow were late 3rd round. Both cam and tim came from the same offenses in college, and basically have the same skill set, however the lastest both tod and mcshay had cam was late 1st. Is there still racism involved on part of the fan base to have a white face of their franchise yes. However i think at least in this case, its not the color of cam, but the decisions he's made in the past,(stealing laptops, academic cheating) and his style of play, which historically doesnt translate well in the NFL.

The day after Vick scored the six touchdown Skip Bayless said he wasn't impressed because he is a "purist"

Additionally....

The (white) offensive coordinators do not have the mental capacity to design an offense for an athletic QB.

said the same about teebow, it aint always race homie, dude didnt run a pro style offense in college, that being said I think hes a winner and will be successful, but it aint always skin color

the same mel kiper that projected alex smith was going to be the shit for the niners:rolleyes: fuck him and his lil dog too:hmm:

Neither did Blaine Gabbert though, and thats not pointed out nearly as much. And i think we all know it isnt always about race. Matt Jones was a college QB that had to switch positions, and Rich Gannon back in the day had to deal with folks wanting him to play other positions, just to name a few. It just seems like anytime a black QB shows any type of swagger (as much as i hate that word), it seems to bother those in the "good ol boy network."

And all this talk about him being a phony and a con man just seems like analysts are reaching a bit too much.

If the QB position is supposed to be "going to blacks" then it's been a gigantic FAIL I don't think anyone's worried about it.

Blacks are FAR more worried about Eminem ruling RAP for the last decade.

yes you are late. They have been doing it for the longest. That's why they try to turn black QB's in to wide recievers. They doing it with my man Darron or Darren...QB from michigan. They want him to play reciever at the next level.

Antonio Bass was a close friend of mine (was top 3 qb's in the nation) and was compared to the next michael vick out of high school but michigan wolverines wanted him to be a wide out. They trying to turn his younger brother into a WR to and he nice as a

Marcus Vick turned into WR, David Dinkins....

Lets wait for a completed season before putting him under the bus... the panthers may be able to adapt their offense to use his athleticism

I promise. If it was a white QB that did what Vick did, we would of seen an ESPN special or some shit in the following days. Complete with the inspirational battle orchestration playing in the background. Yet with Vick, the conversation is: Do we praise this performance? Is it okay to talk about him in a positive context? They always have to negate anything positive with the entire dogfighting thing..................and the rapist gets a pass. :smh:

them cacs stay sick and mad over at CH.com thats why i lurk only...:smh:... my first comment was cut Matt moore and pick up jeff garcia whom was there this off season and them cacs went in like clausen was the answer despite last year. white men naturally hate to see black men in power!! It doesn't matter if he can handle the job or be the best at it. they'd rather him sit!! I really hope Cam does great and shut these cacs up. As good as J. Pepper was, they found a way to blame him and underrate him despite him carrying us for many years. Many of those games he kept us in went the golden qb cac fucked us over!! Steve smith has done the same and they are starting to get away from him as well!! :smh:

Real talk I don't think Cam is all that bright. It takes him forever to put a sentence together and when he does I cringe. I hope he can process information on the next level. I don't look at Cam as the savior for the black QB position so I think it's fair to criticize especially when Vick was arguably the best QB in the league last year.:dunno:

He simply may not be an eloquent public speaker :dunno:

Since his performance has been great, which really is the only thing people should concentrate on because... not like he is performing a heart bypass surgery here.

I am more concerned that they play him the first year instead of training him under mentorship of a veteran qb and a decent qb coach...

They never understood athletic QBs, even white ones... Fran Tarketen did the same thing for the vikings, even lead the nfl at one point in rushing and passing, and these same assholes shitted on him, while in this era if he did the same thing, no one will talk about the mannings or brady.

Like Tim Tebow?? The greatest college QB in history. How's he doin' with CACs?

I'm talking specifically about Fran.... i'm still reviewing Timmy... I always had a problem with his release, but like Bernie Kosar he gets a pass if he makes it work effectively... I remember some games when his comfort level was gone, he reverted back...

But Fran was the motherloving man, but was in the wrong era because his super bowl opponents were all great

The point is about how black and white QBs are treated. Certain types of QBs are gonna get dumped on because they can't play effectively in the NFL, regardless of their running skills. Period.

But Fran was the motherloving man, but was in the wrong era because his super bowl opponents were all great

Fran was an excellent PASSER, as well as a good scrambler. He wasn't one-dimensional like Vick and others that folks are feeling sorry for.

C/S....I actually thought their evaluations was onpoint...they projected Cam being the #1 QB pick this year...but said he isn't accurate enough and may need development....

I actually agreed with them after watching Auburn games this year....his arm is not great when it comes to accuracy....hopefully the Panthers develop him and don't throw him to the wolves to early.....

Vick had three times more tds than ints, 3k passing yards, about 60% of his throws found the mark and has a qb rating of 100.2, in his career, had 2 bad seasons, his rookie and his ex-con year, and consistently threw for 2k yards overall... not to mention... he could run.

Even though I say this and I do like him as a qb... he has always been productive on the field minus the 2 years...

I thought a better example of getting a pass would be Tony Romo, that dude chokes...

Dude i been on this board with you for years. I understand you take the Devils Advocate road, but damn if someone deserves respect for the season they had give it to them. Mike Vick had a great season this past year. Everybody that said he couldnt pass or stay in the pocket, he proved them wrong.

You might not like what he did off the field, and ill grant you that. But he has been trying to turn his life around, and has been proving that.

He had a great year EVEN YOU CANT ARGUE THAT!!!

You're attempting to reason with blunt, I can't begin to tell all the fail in that. People don't clown Blunt anymore, but they do clown the people that try to reason with him/her.

You niggas never quit. There are legitamate red flags surrounding Cam Newton. His father is a greedy scumbag that jeopardized his son's career. He comes from a mickey mouse system. He won the national championship because he was surrounded by a talented defense. He's not very bright. On top of that he's a Heisman winner, which is pretty much a curse for quarterbacks, especially Black quarterbacks, because no black quarterback who has won a heisman has ever amounted to shit in the NFL. AND he's going to an organization that is only interested in putting asses in the seats. They don't have the personnel nor will they get the personnel to develop Cam, when he begins to struggle, they will leave him twisting in the wind like they did Clauson.

Had Andrew Luck came out you niggas would have been bitching up a storm even though Luck ran Bill Walsh's offense superbly and has a better knowledge of offenses than most current NFL QBs.
