I went to an HBCU for undergrad also and it wasn't my thing, but damn the hate is strong. Some of the time it was annoying, but my black ass sure did have fun at some of their functions.
As others have said, many of them go off and lead top companies, or start their own. I got friends that graduated and are making 100k plus at Morgan Stanley, going to medical school, or working on PHD's at MIT.
As with any other group, some are going to be successful, some aren't, so singling out black greeks and saying that they are wasting time is a pure hater move.
You would be surprised to know how big of an advantage it can have on your resume. Just so you know, the would is not segregated anymore and obsessionally, black people are hiring managers and are greeks. Three letters can get you a long way.
