I say all polls and studies are bullshit unless I recall being a part of it. None of these types of polls are even remotely accurate. Anything that involves asking only 10% of the country or receiving feedback that's not mandatory could be off by leaps & bounds cuz the average American or whoever isn't even volunteering info.​

The survey came with this image clearly stating we watch TV more than anyone with gives the image that we sit in front of the boob tube all day doing nothing.

Affiliate marketers do it all the time and make a shit load of loot. They test advertising on a small group and if it is effective they will run campaigns for the masses and make a killing.

In fact when someone thinks different on this board a good 90% of you will go in on a dude. Look at how many thread blames black women and white women for black men ills. The new digital boxes (TiVo, DVRs, etc.) are able to see/track exactly what you are allowed to access and exactly what you are watching at any given instant.

This is not possible with analog.

The election ones are the best. Fox News isn't credible by many aspects so I wouldn't pay attention to any of their polls. Gallop polls usually tell the truth. I can't think of the last time Gallop polls were wrong about a presidential election. Say what you want, but majority of the people in this country by race do the same shit. Well if you take into consideration that poor people tend to watch more TV than people with money, then the numbers to the survey may actually be higher.
The bottom line, is we need to turn off the idiot box and read more.
But what you said about the type of shows is accurate, the only TV I watch is sports, NatGeo, Sciences shows , news and occasionally comedy. Those other shows, are sure to dumb you down faster.

Never implied that was the case, however, watching TV has been so ingrained in our culture that we are going to have to do something drastic to change our viewing habits, if not you can expect to see us as a race get dumber and dumber, being more violent and less productive.

I don't put faith in Gallop but they seem to be very valid. Gallop has come across as pretty close to accurate many times.
