That's obviously not true. She was "with" a drug dealer. Thinking she was living the thug life. So her decision making skills aren't up to par. And who's fault is that? Her parents man. My daughter is 16. She finds the whole drug culture idiotic and boorish. The reason why? We stayed on her constantly and gave her other things to aspire too. Her father stayed on her constantly to make sure she didn't turn into this child here.

There's more to fatherhood, there's more to parenting than just the basics.

I see that way to often the belief that, just because the dad is THERE. Ta Daaaa, everythings going to be rosey. Absolutely not. There's a TON of other things you have to provide children in ways of building them up, morally, consciously. Goals, Values. Building their very personality. All requires care and intense preparation.

And girls need thier fathers not JUST to be their for birthday parties. Or when they need 20 dollars to go to the mall. They need their fathers, there, EVERRRRRYY DAAAAAAY. They need their fathers there, to talk to them. Their fathers need to have an open relationship ENOUGH with their kids to provide access to the point where the child feels there is never any need or reason to hide things from them.

It's obvious this dude failed at this with his daughter. Now of course everyone wants to point the fingers at her and throw her under the bus. She's a little girl. Little girls shouldn't even be thinking of crap like this. This kind of thing shouldn't even enter into their minds.

What you said in your next post put your initial thoughts into context, it IS a matter of staying on top of things day to day, but I would still point out that some can still fall thru the cracks, no matter what you do, but what you laid out should keep that percentage very low, too bad others don't do as well.
