When i have availability. Never within the first 30 hours though. I'll text maybe 3 hours later or so just to touch base and for her to have my number and rather or not she responds to that text, will determine when i call.

Sometimes they respond back right away and we might get a lil text convo going on. If she responds 5 hours after i text her i'm like "ok i see how you coming at me, you on my radar, i got you doe" then she just naturally gets pushed to the bottom of my priorities and how far she is down will reflect how often and when i call.

I'll just parrot what's already been said. I don't really care about waiting a certain amount of time before calling someone I genuinely want to talk to. The only ones I wait to call, and thought about calling later were the the ones I just wanted to mess with.

I dated this woman recently, that said she was surprised that I called her the next day after our first date. She made a comment about it was refreshing that she didn't think I was into playing games that guys usually play.

Now none of that was consciously on my mind when I called her, I really just wanted to holla at her, and see what was up. I did take note of how she reacted though...

With todays advances in technology and being that almost everyone has the ability to text, email, instant message and what have you...I no longer think its "desperate looking" to contact that person of interest via these vehicles within a 24hour period. I think people expect to be contacted "quick" using these tools.

That is something I have had to accept. I am a big texter, but when I'm going out with you I prefer to hear your voice. But a lot of men have replaced calling with texting. I hate it...but yes, I guess it's cool to text right away.

I basically agree with the above... Depending on the type of meeting (random meeting on the street, or may have connected a bit at a meeting or other location), I will either call or text within a day to let her know I thought of her and will call her soon.

Nowadays usually, when asking for her number, she'll ask me for mine as well (and may me send a quick text also). However, the new thing seems to be for women to give me their name, number, and/or e-mail then say, "Check me out on Facebook". Why am I "friend-ing" someone I just met and allowing you access to my profile?

Text the same or next day, call goes based off of how the text conversation goes. If i had a good vibe with that person when we met and the text convo goes well then they'll get a call the very next day, anyone else is waiting 2-3 days.
