With that first sentence it sounds like you're catching feeling. All good though, since you want to act like you know something, I'll school your ass real quick before you come up with more excuses. Correct, Randy suffered two bad losses to top 10 heavyweights. Correct, he was in a war with Vera that everyone argues was a loss.
Toney having age, that really doesn't matter to a point. He has been in wars too and alot of people who pay attention to boxing know that Toney hasn't gotten smarter down the road after these fights. What you must understand is that when you start to age and slow down, great fighters learn to evolve and adapt unlike Chuck Liddell and Roy Jones Jr.
Everyone has a punchers chance in either sport. Hell, Silva almost lost his title but picked his spots like a champion. Toney could have the same impact and just beat the shit out of Randy for two rounds. That's another thing. Boxing has two minute rounds compared to five minute rounds in mma. Don't think thats a difference? Wrong, because you have to push your body those extra minutes and you're doing more work with defending strikes, take-downs, submission, trying not to get pinned against the cage all while trying to work your own strategy.
I'm far from sleeping on Toney but this isn't the first time people have said this about boxers or guys with unbelievable knockout power. Kimbo came in and and flopped against trained guys and had next to no cardio. Point is, I want to see Toney do better than people who have come before him. But his approach will only make things worse. Calling out Lesnar, claiming he deserves top fighters when he hasn't proven shit. All that talk means nothing when it comes to stepping in that cage.
