Openssh allows you to hack in the phone. It has come in handy for me lots of times.

5 icon dock allows you to have 1 additional icon in your dock, hence the name.

PDAnet is a must have. Bas long as you have an uimited data plan, you can use this program to tether. It works perfectly. I use my phone to power my MacBooks Internet when I'm places with no hotspots.

that makes sense. i think the cydia community though is usually good about making info like that clear in their info section before you download their apps.. people need to be smart and read before downloading.. i almost always read the version history just for that reason.

Im interested in how the facetime over 3G works now. Is it choppy and grainy? Just wanna make a comparison to this vs. qik and fring

Facetime doesn't work over 3G only Wifi.

in the rock your phone store download an app called my3g. I think its available if you search thru the cydia store as well

that's one main reason i dont want to switch carriers.. i have an unlimited plan before the changes to the plans and i get a 30% discount on my bill through my company.

Same here. That's why i have a EVO and a iPhone 4. Did not want to leave and give up my unlimited.

My iphone goes into Safe Mode sometimes after downloading apps that require springboard to reload. I've been able to get out of Safe Mode by going into Cydia and deleting those apps. So far that seem to work fine for me.

This is true.

Neither "lockdown" nor "Yourtube" are compatible with os 4. Does anyone know of any similar programs that are?
