What team will be better than the Lakers next year?

Boston. a year older.

Magic. As long as Wince is there their not winning shit.

Spurs. Duncan is done

Mavs. Dirk :lol:

Nuggets. Their never gonna get it together.

Lebron. Whatever team he goes to won't be a championship contender next year.


This Lakers team is set for the next three years. No reason they can't win two more rings.

Also, don't forget how mediocre(contrary to popular belief)the Western conference is. If the lakers have a cake walk to the finals every year like they've had the last 3, they'll be in position to contend every year. That's if Coach Jackson comes back but now I think that he will.

Yep...bunch of good teams in the west..but not one other great team and that wont change anytime soon unless we see much major realignment in this offseason..

I want to say good game to the lake Show but I can't ... that game was too painful to watch ... too many calls and free throws for game 7 imo

i would have loved to see Kobe beast liek game 5 or pau beast like game 1 but i just saw bad calls

Damn! the leading story on the 11 o'clock news last night was how the police presence would be 4 times that of last year. Then Mayor Villaragosa had the press conference w/ the police chief imploring people to "celebrate responsibly", and they still got it crackin.:smh:

Now, before you guys get sensitive, I'm not saying Kobe's better. But for someone who's the obvious GOAT, he's had a poor game 7 in the finals.

I'm starting to get tired of the revisionist history and nostalgia where MJ is concerned.

The Boston Celtics defense is also a much better defense than the Seattle Supersonics.

He shot poorly, very poorly, but he hit shots when they mattered, hit free throws when they mattered, played great defense and rebounded the ball like his life depended on it.

Like I said in another thread, Kobe's biggest issue is that his emotions can get the best of him. A lot of his shots were good looks, and a lot were terrible looks - some terrible because the Celtics defense was stingy, some terrible because he just took plain ole dumb shots.

As far as your comment about Boston, being better defensively than the 1996 Sonics, their DRtg for the year was 102.1 points per 100 possession which is better than the Celtics of this year 103.8 points per 100 possessions. For the playoffs that year, Seattle was 104.1 and Boston was 101.8
