*********Official Lakers vs. Celtics NBA Finals Thread********

damn perkins aint gon' play game 7..damn, i feel bad for homie..i'm a laker kat, but i like competitiveness, not saying boston cant compete without perk, but i like both teams to be evenly matched...

No way to know what will happen. Lakers offense was weak in the 4th quarter yet they didn't care, they were up by 20+

More concerned about Big Baby's ability to crash the offensive glass. Rebound, rebound, Rebound, rebound, rebound Lakers.

bynum won't play more than 10 minutes. from that stand point it'll be about ''evenly matched''. one of our starters isn't that mobile and hasn't scored more than a deuce in the last three games. perkins can't play game 7.

I just saw on nba.com Perkins is definitely out. that really hurts :smh:. I hope big baby can stop twittering long enough for him to get his head into it to give us another big night like Game 4.

The Celtics have a championship because of Andrew Bynum being hurt and he is limited again when they meet two years later. No sympathy, no excuses.

The smell tics should have closed it out in game 6.... why let a team with their backs to the wall back in the series and coming into game 7 with the confidence to take it all?

i think perkins being out will hurt the celtics more so than bynum being out for the lakers..you never know..they may just focus on bynum a little more like they did game 2 when he had that explosive performance..of course..that's just my opinion..we will see...

You probably did this also.

:hmm:

since perkins injured his knee and bynum's knee is on guts does this make the series balanced?

Bynum is gonna at least start. He's just too big for Rasheed so the Lakers need to pound it inside early and gets some quick fouls. Rasheed has to go to the bench then who plays center? Mr Parker?

Losing Perkins is huge if Bynum can play.

I don't give a damn who is out there. As long as Kobe is there the Lakers will be winning this thing. Men lie, women lie, Kobe don't!

The Celtics have a surplus of big-men. Losing Perkins is obviously not ideal, but I'm sure they'll manage. If we can play without Bynum - who we need MORE than Boston needs Perkins - then I'm sure Boston can get the job done without Perkins.

They have a surplus of pf's. Perkins was their only true center. Who's gonna guard Bynum, Rasheed? Rasheed is giving up a couple inches and 50 pounds. If Bynum can get around tonight the Lakers should just pound the ball inside & hope they can get a couple quick fouls on Rasheed then Mr. Parker would have to guard him.

oh shit did you just say mr. Parker!!!! Lol!!!!!

Man..the Lakers are the only team that ALWAYS replaces a mega-star....

:yes::yes::yes:

As a Laker fan, I"ll feel bad when Jerry Buss isnt making decisions anymore... hands down, he's the best owner in the NBA. Not even close.

Yeah no doubt. Always keeps a superstar there or a couple AND always seems to make the perfect trade to get the team over the top (like the Gasol trade).

it takes most teams 5-6 seasons to rebuild sometimes..if they ever fully recover..the lakers rebuild in 2-3 years and are always back competing for titles again

If Lebron could handle it, he could come to LA next year for mid-level and wait it out for a few more years til Kobe is done and be THE star of the NBA's premier franchise. He would have a couple of rings and be in contention for years (if Buss is still around). He could be building his brand too... LA is the best place to do that.

probably wont happen... but if I told you a few years ago that LA was trading Kwame for Pau, people would :smh::smh::smh:...but it happened :lol:

If its about his "brand", is there a better place to be? Rings improve the brand, and the LA has the best chances of being there next year. Look at this:

Lebron, Kobe, Artest, Pau, Bynum as the starters... Phil coaching... most clutch reserve in D.Fish = old school Celtic dominance

Kobe would be pissed, but fuck him.. he's under contract. Ninjas would be jumping off bridges if Buss made that happen.

I don't think Buss made those decisions. Mitch Kupchack is the one pulling those strings.

Also, this one is a wrap for the Celtics. They're done. You can tell that by how they lost the game. In both of the Lakers loses they were at least in the game and had a chance to win it. In the case of the Celtics, the last game (game 6) you could see it in their faces that they knew the Lakers were clearly a better and more talented team. Game 6 took all of the swagger out of the Celtics. The only way the Celtics win tonight is IF they are somehow able to just blow the Lakers out of the gym (which aint happening). Lakers by 12.
