sorry boston fans and the boston team as a whole that perkins hurt his knee. knees are serious and when i saw him go down i said please let it be that he just rolled his ankle cause knee injuries can be career ending especially when you have the amount of weight that perkins carries. with that said...

since perkins injured his knee and bynum's knee is on guts does this make the series balanced?

Pau was :dance::dance: when Perkins went down. Played very well tonight, he can get where he wants to against KG, but kendrick pushes him out further than he wants to and just roughs him up in general.

Lakers vs Celtics + Game 7 of the NBA Finals= Basketball Porn

Let's get that back to back :yes:

If LA wins, some of ya'll might need this

And this is how Paul Pierce looks each time he's touched, and sometimes when he's not touched :smh:

Even on that Shannon Brown breakaway dude was trying to win an Oscar :smh:

If Perkins is able to play some useful minutes Thursday, I got the Celtics in Game 7. Rivers has shown he can make adjustments after losses and even if Perkins can't play much, Wallace has shown to be able to play Gasol well for spells.

Lakers showed some "step-up"

Everyone knew it was going 7 games...

Perkins injury looks serious.

Shannon Brown's head was above the rim on some of those dunks.

When Perkins went down the C's lost their mojo.

Game 7 it is.....

Best Finals Ive seen in a loooooooong fuckin time.

101 pages and game 7 ain't for another 36 hours! this is possibly the most participated in thread in bgol history! everybody (except for like 1 or 2 dudes) is contributing good sheit regardless of which side you fall on bgol!

Like i said about the last few games, the lack of defense, hustle and making shots is what was hurting the Lakers

After taking the lead when Kobe Bryant hit back-to-back buckets midway through the first quarter, ]Lakers clamped down and the seesaw stopped, leaving the Celtics dangling up in the air, at the mercy of the hustle-and-go Lake Show.

And it was about time.

It began with a Ron Artest block on Rajon Rondo at the rim, for what seemed like the first time all series.

Then came a flurry of activity, plays that transformed a group that had seemingly lost its way into a unit that understood its mission.

Bryant made another jumper, this one of the how-did-he-do-that variety, with two Celtics draped on him at the elbow. He followed it with a steal on the next possession, playing possum and luring Paul Pierce into a pass Bryant could grab and take the other way. The steal led to a Pau Gasol fast-break layup, and the Staples Center crowd started to revel in memories of the Lakers team that defeated the Jazz by 11, the Rockets by 19, the Nuggets by 27 and the Magic by 13 in closeout games last year.

The manic minute got the Lakers, who had been thoroughly outworked in Games 4 and 5, over the hustle hump, and three-and-a-half quarters of extra effort later, they had an 89-67 win and we have a Game 7 between the Lakers and Celtics Thursday.

"They were terrific," Boston head coach Doc Rivers said. "I thought they just showed great trust. And the more they got it going, the more everybody got involved."

And it wasn't just the fact that everyone got involved, , but it was the way they made their mark.

A video about their stepped up defense from last night

As much excitement as there is surrounding the Laker blowout, I'm not convince they will win game 7. They actually blew the Celtics out due to a monster first half, but they were held to 38 pts in the second half. This tells me the Celtics settled down and began to figure things out. If this is the case, with better shooting the Lakers may be in trouble for Game 7.

And this is exactly how the NBA works and why it's best for the league. Big markets generate excitement and revenue. No way would this thread even reach 100 pages if this was a Jazz-Bucks matchup and the the TV ratings would show that.

Perk is out. :smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

Celtics center Kendrick Perkins walked into Staples Center on crutches this afternoon, sporting a heavy brace on his right knee. Celtics coach Doc Rivers said definitively that Perkins will not play in tomorrow's Game 7.

"He's not going to go, I can tell you that now," said Rivers. "We're not going to do an MRI until we get back. Once they did the tests that they did on him and they realized he couldn't play well, there was no reason to send him to an MRI, too. That will come, and then we'll make a determination on what we have to do."

Rivers said he has not decided who will start in place of Perkins. Rasheed Wallace and Glen Davis are the two options, with the taller Wallace the likely front runner given his length in guarding Lakers center Andrew Bynum.

We've gotta keep Mr. Parker out of the game at all costs :(

That is going to hurt bostons depth considerably. Sheed does a good job on pau defensively, but as far as their lineups it'll have an impact.

Now figure Wallace can be prone to fouls, this can also affect the way refs call the game. Will they be less likely to call touch fouls seeing as Boston is down a big man, or will they call him like they did previously, forcing Boston to go as far as playing Williams?

Will scalabrine see time with the second unit, in the role Wallace usually plays as the big who stretches the floor?

Will Andrew Bynum play more than 15 minutes?

I think it'll be good strategy for LA to make sure that whenever Davis is on the court.

The triangle will thrive now that Boston lacks muscle.
