To me the best X-Men run was when they had no money, they were hunted down by humanity groups, villains and other agency...when they was in the outback.
The minute they get money or get on top some writer comes along and starts shark jumping and ruins their mojo.

Sooo your saying that when he came back from the future and mentioned the X-Men traitor and he never mentions the Mutant who would kill 2 billion people? or the fact that he loved Xavier more than anything ( go back and read his earlier appearances ) then has no problem putting a bullet in his head...Sorry no dice, I love X-men but the whole hope thing is thrown together at best...and they have been trying to get rid of Nightcrawler for awhile...first he doesn't know his place, then he quits, now he's dead? and why? because killing an expendable character gives the story credit...Nawwww

If your comparing the Sentry and Bishiop I will have to say Bishop has been around alot longer so after his "mission" was over the writers had no idea to do with him. It seems like they just picked him out of a hat to be the villian. The Sentry was just a bad idea from the start. Then they were starting to develop him into something only to totally throw the character away.
The writing in the X-Books is the best it has been in maybe 10 years. The only problem is that we all know mutant Deaths mean nothing. So Nightcrawler's "death" wasn't even shocking.
