This is Uheardme1sttime response to Tariq's podcast on that ABC Report on Black women..

I know it might be a dead horse but I want to read opinions on her thoughts on his podcast.

I've listened to both..although I listedn to Tariq's a while ago. Tariq covered alot more than what she responded to in her video.
 
Tariq was basically adressing the fact that these chicks are implying that thier sucess is the reason for thier singleness. He is basically calling them out on that bs.

By shitting on thier sucess, he is trying to say, the "sucess" isn't the reason. It is something else.

Exactly, the hoe in the video has it totally misconstrued. The bitches in the ABC Special - and I've already said this before - were acting like they were on some Condoleeza Rice type shit...some Oprah type shit...and they're not...

Their occupations aren't so high up that they are too "special" to date bruh man who works at the barber shop down the block or works as a manager at a local cell phone store. As Tariq said it, "They're not exactly balling out of control." They have regular jobs with "good" benefits. Niggas got jobs and daily hustles, too. So what's the problem?

And the reason why he shitted on their looks had major purpose, too. It was in an effort to imply that niggas are approaching these women everyday so isn't like they don't have options available despite the main objective of the special was to subliminally ridicule Black men in America as if pickings were slim amongst us. After these chicks put on their fucking Maybelline, short skirts, and high-heel pumps, we're not intimidated of these hoes looks. They're simply not all that.

Bitches have no fucking clue just how frequently we holler at women who are "kinda cute" and "just average-looking" to us because they may have one main attribute that sticks out (pun intended). And they may get approached 9 times a day based on this alone. But chicks egos get so boosted off the attention they begin to think they're fly (perfection) from head to toe.

But what does it matter? I'm preaching to the choir.

That attorney/cheerleader shouldn't (and truly can't) date some guy who works at a barber shop and a manager at a cell phone store, I'd hope she dates within her own class. What woman Lawyer wants to date a loser, in any race?

Because of what she said in the video. If you truly are at a job with money and power then the amount of people who have success like you gets thinner and thinner the higher the ladder you go. Their may be 10 thousand single men in your city who may making less then you but because you are looking for guys who's doing what you are doing or better you basically lowered the number to say 2,000. What's your chances of meeting one of these people in a major city? Pretty much zero. I'm not saying that these women should be going after even the guys just working at McDs but if the job's respectable, he can live comfortably and he's happy and fulfilled then don't be so quick to rule him out because he's making 40k to your 80k or whatever. (truth be told, I bet most of these women are making 40k too. The high school social worker, definitely. It's a good job. but not anything special however.)

Using these women's and your logic, Tiger should only date women who are in the LPGA or some other major sport because they are the only people in his class. Does that not sound a bit stupid?
 
This woman has made more noteworthy, significant intellectual and educational commentarys than Tariq ever will. In fact, the next time that clown says something of substance will be the first time. Sad how you worshippers will tear this chick down the moment she dares call your idol out on his useless rants.

I listened to Tariq's show last week after it was posted. I like the fact he addressed each of this woman's points. In the beginning I was willing to give her point of view a chance, but after a while she lost me. All that stuff about women not needing to have good jobs and a few other things because "men don't look for those things" was total bullshit. As a man, I always want to know a woman has ambition, drive, and many other positive personality traits in addition to having a good ass job. When a man and woman are in a relationship they should make each other want to do better. They should inspire each other and grow together. This chick was making excuses and (basically) saying that women don't have to live up to the same standards they want to hold us to. I think Tariq did a good job in pointing that out, and re-stating/explaining his original points (e.g. the women in the special aren't all that damn special). I think the sistas in that special, and many others with that same attitude need to humble themselves enough to look at themselves as (at least a part of) the problem they have meeting and dealing with men. Them being single has more to do with their attitudes and how they present themselves than them being "too successful for black men"...

Let's be real. These women are upset cuz the men they are attracted too are not approaching them in great abudance. The women in the special were attractive women, but I bet u they feel they are above dating a certain type of man. Honestly, these women should work on approaching men they deem "worthy" if they feel that's what they want. The bitterness does need to stop tho on both sides. You'd think as a ppl we would be more united than ever in 2010. Blk women need to step it up if they want better in life. And blk men must do the same. No more complaining, but more campaigning in 2010. Keep hope alive!!!! Lol
