Aftermath Rep Gives The REAL Reason Bishop Lamont Was Dropped From Aftermath

Here is a direct quote from an Aftermath affiliate:

"Unlike Joel Ortiz or Stat Quo, Bishop Lamont was released from Aftermath due to disloyalty and the fact that he is an idiot. It started in early 2008 when he decided to name himself a spokesperson for Detox, Aftermath, & Dr. Dre. Let's start with his Disloyalty.

Bishop's Single "Grow Up" should have never happened period. The song "Grow Up" was originally intended for Marsha from Floetry and stolen by Bishop. Bishop layed vocals to what the public now knows as "Grow Up" and Dre never liked it. Dre never liked the fact that Bishop did a record he intended for Marsha and Dre thought the mix for the record was awful. Will Dre release a record that is just a loop, synthesizer, and vocals?? No, not after releasing classics like No One Can Do it Better, Chronic, DoggyStyle, Slim Shady LP, or Get Rich or Die Trying.

Knowing that this record wasn't approved by Dre, Idiot Bishop went ahead and begged a personal friend & Interscope employee to leak the unapproved "Grow Up" record to DJ's, with full knowledge that this is being done against the will of Dr. Dre. Now that the record is out, Dr. Dre and the Aftermath staff are furious and calling the Interscope offices to have the record Cease & Deceased before the record spreads across the country after Power 106 in LA plays "Grow Up" and threw the record in rotation. The Interscope employee who leaked Grow Up was almost fired after an impromptu meeting was called in the Interscope building about damage control on the "Grow Up" leak. Bishop knew Dr. Dre never liked Grow Up from the beginning and Bishop never made it clear to his friend/Interscope Employee of the risk that was being taken with this record. Bishop dodged the phone call of his friend/ Interscope employee after the employee found out through Human Resources that disciplinary actions will be held against him for insubordination.

With the success of Grow Up & Mixtape: the Confessional, on the internet & the streets, Bishop took his show on the road to NY to promote the project and to weasel DJ Whoo Kidd to get him a meeting with 50 Cent. (Hence why the Bishop Lamont meets Pimpin Curly video came to youtube and why the public associates the Idiot with G-Unit). Bishop also went on Sirius XM Shade 45 on Angela Yee's & Leah Rose's Lip Service show and went on to say how he "doesn't like the Crack A Bottle" record. Live on Eminem's station here is a supposedly Aftermath artist publicly expressing disapproval of the franchise team player's first single off a highly anticipated project for your record company??? Even in the interview you can hear On Air Personality, Angela Yee saying "hey wait that's my boss" in reference to Eminem while Bishop continues to dig his own grave talking reckless about the "Crack A Bottle" single. Dre or Aftermath never approved of Idiot Bishop crusades & campaigns about Detox across the country throughout the years.

Idiot Bishop Lamont has made a lot of enemies out of those who took personal interest to watching him succeed on the West Coast. He totally snaked DJ Warrior who was a big supporter of his career in the beginning. Bishop always has something negative to say about every other West Coast rapper that isn't himself. From his disloyalty to fellow West Coast artist and even his own crew to his "fake" beef with Game to impress Whoo Kidd with the attempt to woo G-Unit (Then when he sees Game at Ozone Awards, Bishop shows love to Game and Game disses his ass on Crisco Kidd's radio show in Houston the next day) Moral of the story is Phillip Martin or Idiot Bishop Lamont ain't built for the success he's trying to achieve.

I leave this by saying Bishop Lamont is the type of person that will leave the G-Unit building to meet Rick Ross around the corner, without saying where he is going and where he is coming from. Disloyal and not to be trusted. Idiot Bishop had so much to say about Joel Ortiz, at one point, but now look who has the last laugh with the success of SlaughterHouse. Even Stat Quo is back "Detoxing" and about to enjoy some success with Sha Money, digitally. The Interscope employee is still on staff and Dr. Dre has been busy grooming Slim tha Mobster to replace the West Coast Idiot. Had the Idiot Bishop played his position, locked himself in the studio with Dre, and not do everything you seen him do on sites like thisis50.com and on Satellite Radio these last few years, he will still be Dre's Best Kept Secret, California's Hidden Treasure & 2nd or 3rd Coming. Loyalty & Honor cannot cure the cancer of a talented natural born idiot."

I can't be mad at Bishop, dude was trying to get on.

This brainfart needed a new thread when the last Bishop "who" Lamont thread was already on page one? Really?

:hmm:

At this point. No one is checking for anyone on fucking Aftermath:hmm::smh:

Dre Included.

"Detox coming soon"

Whatever nigga

Man that sounds like 90% of these rappers out now. Fool trying to scramble for crumbs. :smh:

Aftermath might as well be dead.

Cats today are on Young Money & Gucci

Dre missed the window for Detox.

Aftermath has huge hits.

Gay's today are on Young Money & Gucci

Dre missed the window for Detox,
and yet Detox will still be a huge hit when it finally drops.

bishop saw what happen to every other artist under aftermath lol hes like im going push myself. rakim even said dre wasnt doing much. Also Rae had to leave dre also. fuck dre he takes way to long to do a hip hop lp. nigga acting like hes creating classical music without a computer.

Im guessing a 15 year old, dr dre dickridin, gta san andreas playin, idiot wrote this.

This Can't Be An Official Press Release. :hmm:

And agree with some of the comments, Grow Up was a good song, if Dre didnt like that then wtf:confused:

He had his chance in 05/07 but Detox will be so overhyped and irrelevent when it drops after 2-3 weeks it wont ever be mentioned again. Probably be the same as that Rakim album imo... I mean hes got T.I. showing him how to rap his verses :smh::puke::hmm:

So a rep has to say this and not dre...i'll see when bishop starts dissin where this all makes sense. Aftermath is and has been fucking up. Dre is slippin and is only interested in making money not music. I dont know what the hell they are doing over there but its fair to say its the same thing Jay needed when the rocafella was without dame and biggs. It sounds cool to work with dr. dre but these new artist have to pay more attention to the business. For a young rapper making his name is like playing college ball with less money offers and only a handful of people trying to sign you. With the labels you are responsible for making the music and promotion, the label is supposed to support that. Problem is, most artist are too busy working on their images than music and are too easily tempted into other shit to focus on what makes the money. Bishop was cool and i like that "CalTroit" mixtape he did with black milk but he wasnt promoting himself like he should've and Dre should've had his back when it came down to it but oh well.

Aight after I read the article about a rapper no one really cares about, I gleaned three things:

1. Em's Crack A Bottle record wasn't really all that, dude was just keeping it real. Just another case of when keeping it real goes wrong.

2. Dr. Dre sucks at getting artists records done in a timely manner, which is why Bishop took shit into his own hands. Failed at it of course.

3. At the end of the day, most people can't think of one damn Bishop Lamont song if you asked them, so even signing him to Aftermath was a fail in itself. The interscope employee who wrote that shit just wasted my damn time. If you don't like Bishop Lamont, don't fucking talk about him. You just bringing attention to him. There's two sides to every story now peeps who read this shit will want to see his point-of-view.

Dre is scared. Point blank. Ever since The Firm album flopped he's been scared to put out anything with his name on it that isn't 50 or Em. That Raekwon album probably didn't do 50/Em numbers, but it wasn't denied as a solid album. It's the Purple Tape 2. Everyone was talking about that shit. I'm sure Dre is kicking himself in the head for not putting that out sooner.

he took a chance wit busta also and floped, wit like 3 video's he barley went gold.

Bishop Lamont, and most Aftermath artist are tax write-offs for Dre...

C/S. Has anybody ever dropped an album on Aftermath, other than Em and 50.

Rakim
Joell Ortiz
Knocturnal
Stat Quo
Bishop Lamont
etc.

It's like being signed to Death Row

ya know what? You're right.

The employee that wrote this, is opbviously on his bosses nustack, and is throwing Bishop under the bus thinking he will gain some points.

ANd yeah, no one still knows who Bishop is.

Can blame dude for doing his own thing. Are obviously is scared to release anything unless Em or 50 is involved. I've been waiting for a while to for Marsha Ambrosius from Floetry who joined Aftermath. I knew they day she was talking about working with Dre though her career would stop as long she is with that label. You gotta be a fool to join Aftermath if you have any other options at all.

Yeah Grow Up was a solid record....I don't see why they didn't try to promote that they was even bumping that shit on Foxxhole...

Shit if I was signed sine 2006 and shit still ain't happened u can damn sure bet its going to be a few leaks to get some buzz on my career. that is too fucking long to be stagnated and doing nothing and everybody telling u to wait. Sometimes you have to create your own buzz and force the label to put some kind of focus on you

Wait wait wait, lemme see if I understand.

So Lamont from Sanford & Son dropped Bishop T.D. Jakes just to get a rep and now everybody's telling him he needs to either grow up or go to detox?

Am I getting warmer?

The only thing you're getting warmer to is the day your account expires.
