I don't have SkipScreen. I use Opera, plus I have SendSpace Max, so I couldn't test this as perfectly as it needed to be done; but, I wanted to see what the difference COULD be, since you brought it up.

First, I logged out of Max, then downloaded one of my files. The speed was terrible (sorry y'all :dunno: ). It hovered around 75 KB/s.

Then, I logged back in, and the speed ran basically full throttle. I had a torrent going at the same time, so I didn't reach maximum potential bandwidth on the downloads, but this should still reflect the difference. While logged in, the speed averaged 915 KB/s.

I started the "logged in" download about 5 minutes after the "logged out" session and it still finished about 23 minutes before it. The average speed of the "logged out" download did not change before, during, or after the "logged in" test.

I'd say that if your SkipScreen is definitely circumventing some aspect of the SendSpace servers' download speed governor, then that would be awesome, considering how slow it CAN go. Keep us posted on your findings on this. Could be interesting info for the fam. Props!
 
I just grabbed the latest vid and I could hold my breath longer than it took to download

average time was in the 1.9mb/sec range!
