And what were you using previously sir?![]()
It's not necessary and too complex for what it does. I can do all and more with Reason and Abelton Live. No need for all that Logic shit. I have my shit mixed in pro tools in the studio, but at home it's all reason.
do you miss being able to cut and paste? It seems to be missing from finderGood ol' Windows XP.....Honestly, my main reason for switching was the ease of use I get from using OS X.....applications run more smoothly to me. I got tired of constantly updating anti-virus, malware, spyware, etc.....I just got sick of the general maintenance involved with owning a Windows machine......call me lazy....I just wanna turn my computer on, use it for whatever reason & turn it off without having to worry about constant scans, updates & various other bullshit associated with a Windows PC.....

Well for one thing you got have some kind of Music acumen to get any of them shits ....
Let me guess ....You a "Fruity Loops" or a "Acid" kind of mofo..
Somethin you can just manipulate some loops cause you got no Musical skills....
Cause if you ain't on A Mac You could not know nothin about Logic since Logic 5......
Btw If you a Digi Pro Tools kind of guy....you would know Logic is the prefered front end for them dudes...especially the ones on HD systems.....
I knew you did not know what the fuck you was talking about....It's not necessary and too complex for what it does. I can do all and more with Reason and Abelton Live. No need for all that Logic shit. I have my shit mixed in pro tools in the studio, but at home it's all reason.
I dare you to take the same drum samples and run them thru the "ultra beat" module in logic and a/b them dry with reason... Night and day difference for me...Reason sounded a little muffled dark and smeary in the mids for my tastes...
No disrespect but I know you aint neva really sat down with it, because if you did you would know that the sequencer is only second only to 1 and thats the MPC 3000....and It has the tightest side chain compressor on par with pro tools... Most other programs have a delay with the side chain. It's as complex as you want it it to be, It can be as simple as garage band, or you can get into some old aphex twin type editing. I switched to it in late 07 and haven't looked back... I can get shit really tight down to the smallest nuances rhythmically... But then again Im doing mostly dance music so timing is of the utmost of importance...
I've heard live is really really cool and I don t doubt that. I messed with it for a few days before... I just didn't have the time to master it's unique interface...
I knew you did not know what the fuck you was talking about....
I got Reason and Live....and they are very good for what they do...I got both of em rewired as slaves to Logic...use em as plugs...
You must Be a Hobbyist....and that fine...But stop talkin about shit like you a pro when you ain't...and that critique you gave on Logic has been written by a million mofo's that was to dumb to get Logic to work for they silly asses..
Umm Just curious but how does reason sound muffled? Do you think I just leave it how it is, without having my engineer spend hours mixing and mastering the jawn I just did? Reason is just pre production. That excuse won't fly about the muffled sound or the MPC sounds gritty thing and all those lies about a particular sound in equipment.
Son I have a mac, but it's only used for mixing. Period. I know I make better beats than you so It's not an issue with me really. As for clowning fruity loops I know niggas that use FL that will EAT your favorite producer.
Yea well maybe You do make Better "Beats"...Probably Cause I'm a Composer .....I write in all The Clefs and Keys and well I know a bit about Music.....
But I tell you what I accept your challenge...Post some of Yor Beat's And I'll post some of mine and let The Fam Decide...Your talk is Cheap....Yea or Nay Mofo??

We can trade Tunes....

Mpc 60's sound raw as fuck(just impractical in modern times), I dont know what you talking about?? does a motu sound like a apogee interface....etc???...
it's all about converters
... do you understand what analog to digital (and vice versa) converters do?
the algorithms in reason software vs the mathematical algorithms in logic software are not in the same league... I prefer the sound of fruity loops to the sound of reason... Thats just my snobbery tho...
That's all bullshit, about MPC's having a certain sound. People still fall for that?![]()
He aint postin SHIT!!! he did this before... I just looked thru the beat this section under music production and did'nt see shit from him... maybe i'll check again... truth is a funny dude tho, I'm callin him out outta respect...![]()

Data Conversion
It is important at the onset of exploring digital audio to understand that once a waveform has been converted into digital format, nothing can inadvertently occur to change its sonic properties. While it remains in the digital domain, it is only a series of digital words, representing numbers. Aside from the gross example of having the digital processing actually fail and cause a word to be lost or corrupted into none use, nothing can change the sound of the word. It is just a bunch of "ones" and "zeroes." There are no "one-halves" or "three-quarters". The point being that sonically, it begins and ends with the conversion process. Nothing is more important to digital audio than data conversion. Everything in-between is just arithmetic and waiting.
That's why there is such a big to-do with data conversion. It really is that important. Everything else quite literally is just details. We could go so far as to say that data conversion is the art of digital audio while everything else is the science, in that it is data conversion that ultimately determines whether or not the original sound is preserved (and this comment certainly does not negate the enormous and exacting science involved in truly excellent data conversion.)
Since analog signals continuously vary between an infinite number of states and computers can only handle two, the signals must be converted into binary digital words before the computer can work. Each digital word represents the value of the signal at one precise point in time. Today's common word length is 16-bits or 32-bits. Once converted into digital words, the information may be stored, transmitted, or operated upon within the computer.
In order to properly explore the critical interface between the analog and digital worlds, it is necessary to review a few fundamentals and a little history.
I dare yall to come out the norm and do R&BSince yall are "Composers" what up? I do Hiphop and sample etc, but I can fuck with the keys too. What up?
Niggu I'm known for house and broken beat... I haven't really done hip hop like that since 97... My first record was a drum&bass record back in 2000... I'm the last person you should be talkin to about the norm... I'm not into all this bantering rap shit...
Well?
3rd day on my MacBook Pro and love it.....![]()
So you going to post some R&B or what, because I'm not posting my rap shit on here.
