If you got someone constantly rushing in your face then you will be overwhelmed and your punches won't be accurate. She's not a sore loser it was all about the new female champ in the interview, they were planning on interviewing her in her locker room.

The same way she used technique to survive and even get on top on the ground, she can use better technique to survive an conquer on the feet. She should have gotten her Royce Gracie on tonight because Cyborg's technique is just to smash and grab her punches and everything else is sloppy and built on strength or roids I should say.

5. She has 0 ground skills

6. She is done as a women's MMA fighter. The women's side of the sport (if it continues after tonight) has evolved without her.

Shit I found her chin the most impressive. Look at the fight again. She took a good beating. The punches were more damaging by zapping her confidence and courage with every blow. But it's not like it was a one punch knock out. She got into the fetal position on more than one occasion without trying to roll which shows she wanted it to be stopped.

she's a kickboxer - she is used to gettin hit ...........by weak broads - throw a muscle dude like cyborg at her and she folds up
she fought shook - im guessin she got hurt early and didnt want any part of ol dude - her style was weird the whole fight - i was wonderin what the fuck she was doing

Did Gina train to lose weight or did she train for this fight?

I'm really disappointed w/ Gina's effort tonight. She coulda performed much better than that. She didn't look crisp at all.

there have been rumors her camp was shit and it looks like it was
randy is a sucka for not preparing her right
 
gina was helpless. cyborg was eating those punches like protein bars. gina barely kick cyborg and that what kept cyborg close to her. but either way she was going to lose. Cyborg was a straight monster and her punches was too strong. i thought her fist was going to go through the canvas in the last 5 second:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:.

gina is used to fighting weaker opponents and didnt fight with urgency. theres going to be rematch and im sure of it. gina got to be trained better to last atleast 2 rounds but shes still going to lose.:lol:

Carano needs to spar and train like a man if she's gonna beat that dude cyborg. Randy's camp isn't the right camp for her. She need to go a camp like greg jackson's where they have really good strikers and good wrestlers and good Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighters. The only thing Randy can teach is some wrestling and dirty boxing.

She has the tools to put up a much better fight than that. I'm not saying she could win. I'm just saying she could do better. She looked extremely weak. Neither one should prolly be at 145 in reality.

Yeah I think one good shot at the start of the fight let her know she was a cooked goose. I just think that it should be easy as hell to whip somebody with shit technique. That's how I knew Shane would expose Margarito no matter how big and strong he was. I guess all Gina's muay thai victories were little girl bully sessions.
 
I think Carano had too much pressure on her, they were calling her the face of female MMA then she ran into that brick wall they call Cyborg

can't...sparring with dudes may wreck her pretty face or make her body too hard looking...

someone said it earlier in the thread...gina needs to figure at this point if she's a fighter or entertainer. The only difference between her and cyborg (except for possible steroids) is gina has a prettier FACE.. Maxim didnt ask cyborg to do a layout now did they:rolleyes:

Carano's endorsements comes from how she LOOKS first then how good a fighter she is second.

she was undefeated sure but in all of her fights not one opponent lumped her up as much cyborg. Particularly in her face.

If she calls for a rematch then she has a warriors heart..if she doesn't then it was all fake and a set up.

Word. Randy is on some Pat Mili shit - old style shit that used to work

Thats what I love about MMA - what works works until its disassembled by a new style and replaced. Its like watching the evolution of a world fighting style in only a few decades.

Yeah she coulda used her speed and kicks to keep dude away from her and get a decision but it just seemed like she couldnt handle the power of cyborgg's striking. Cyborg sucks. She has little skill and seems to just rely on overpowering opponents and some mediocre bjj. I was kinda shocked how Gina just threw all her training out the window and gave up her back and did shit like bending over tryin to hold on to one of cyborg's hands. Im bettin her head was not in the fight at all. Pressure + bullshit camp + decent opponent = too much for her

Gina looked scared the whole time. And as far as them trying to protect Gina, the announcers tried to say that the fight wasn't over, even though if it had gone any further, Gina would have been carried out on a stretcher, bad for her but she is showtime's golden girl. So they wanted to give her another round to come back and win.:smh:

Cyborg may be on the juice, but that is just about the same as Brock Lesnar vs. anyone.
 
^^^ I know what you mean, but they are starting to pull some big names, shit could get more interesting. I didn't know they "merged" with dream as well, there will be alot of current champions that won't have their belts for long.

After seeing how Randy's own wife got her grill straight demolished TWICE, I mean she lost teeth and everything :smh: That muthafucka couldn't train me how to eat a bowl of Cereal let alone to fight the President of the He-Man Women hater's club Cyborg.
 
As much as I want to penetrate her (:D:yes:) the fact is though, that her marketablility is due to a combo of her looks and her fighting. She's hot, but not so incredibly hot that she'd get anything other than dick handed to her if she hadn't been a big time fighter.
If this was the 90's and she wanted to get out of the game, she could have a good career doing straight to video and cable action flicks... but I don't know if that genre is like it once was.

One thing I'm wondering... is women's boxing still at all in any kind of spotlight. For a while with Layla and that Christy chick, plus that european boxing version of cyborg (I forget her name) it was generating some excitement, but lately I haven't heard shit about it.

they kept talking about santos' power, but to me it was more her placement than anything else.

none of her strikes put carano on queer street, but it was obvious that carano didn't like the sting either.

santos got off quicker too. now i see why santos was a 2-1 favorite.

one other person wondered why carano chose to stand up instead of maintaining full mount. any MMA fans have an explanation? was she worried about getting submitted from the bottom by a BJJ practitioner?

there was 1 similarity with the kim couture v. kim rose fight. both xtreme couture fighters got nailed coming out of the gate to start round 1.

another observation/question for MMA fans. were you surprised that carano did such a POOR job in the clinch standing up? never establishing over/under or body control?
