Why do some of you dislike GI joe?
I love G.I. Joe (original cartoon/movie & comics). I just feel that the movie is not going to be done the justice it deserves from the previews I've seen. I mean Marlon Wayans in an action movie? Idk about that one. Also... they have on armor that enhances their abilities? They might as well repackage the product & call them Centurions.
Swords... Check
Ninja Stars.... Check
2 highly trained killing machines.... Check
R rating.... Negative
NC 17 rating.... Negative
PG-13... CHECK and FAIL
I will see this movie when it is free at the NYC Library on DVD and only if and when I actually see the copy next to a book I was going to pick up anyway.

now koontz is putting out comics? while i've been waiting 3+ yrs for book 3 in the frankinstien series ? i will slap his ass.
Has anyone been watching Cartoon Network? Most of GI Joe's advertising budget was poured onto this station. Straight up, out of 3 minutes of commercials during the break, I saw two GI Joe action figure commercials, a GI JOE Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow costume kit for kids, and two commercials for the movie. Keep in mind that this was a 3 minute commercial break. This shit is going to bomb bad that they have to push it so hard on kids...

That is the way it is. I still don't understand why they try to market this for kids when the show's strongest audience are 25+ years old and older.
We won't buy as many toys but if they market it right we buy everything else - DVDs, clothing and memorabilia.
/\/\/\/\ remember the easiest way to get in to our pocket is our kids. that's why they make a lot of these move pg-13 so if you were not going to see Die hard 5 cause you don't have the time, but your kids will be in your ass to go. get the hook with the toys and throw them get you hook on the collector ed. DVD
