We allegedly went to the moon 40-50 years ago . . . ONCE. And NEVER since. BUT, made a thousand damn flight to geostationary orbit since the?

Man, I'm not even gonna bother double checking my dates on this, but THESE 'STORIES' inspire incredulity, and require unreasonable amounts of suspended rational thinking to be even remotely tenable.
And there are PLENTY of reasons to go to the moon, as many times as fucking possible. Doesn't even require that much imagination as to what the benefits and advantages are . . . regardless of cost.

Come on man, neither one of you have ever heard of Apollo 12, Apollo 14, Apollo 15, Apollo 16, and Apollo 17? We've been to the moon multiple times since the first time.
Remember when Alan Shepard was hitting the Golf Balls? That was the 3rd time we landed. John Young doing the Jump Salute? that was 4th time we went.

Closest thing I've ever seen to an UFO is probably the International Space Station.
This is through someone's 10in Reflector(anyone can buy one and see the space station look like this, given the correct conditions).
It doesn't look as clear as that through my scope, but I can still make it out.
For one, we NEED a celestial staging/testing ground for deep space exploration. Consider the money we lose for lost/errant payload by having to rely strictly on theoretical planning. Which, despite our engineering prowess, isn't always sufficient.
Plus astronauts fare better where there is some gravity as opposed to the zero g of geostationary orbit.
There're also plusses for construction/fabrication on a site with low gravity.
And the obvious strategic military advantages.
But the best reason I can think of off top is the pursuit and realization of advancements that would result form solving the engineering challenges derived from a non-earth centric p.o.v.
When looking at missions to the moon on a short timeline, the arguments aren't as strong. When looking at them in a larger context over a longer timeline, the moon becomes an invaluable resource.

I believe it was the "by the end of the decade" not the "year". Also, he challenged America to get it done. He did not guarantee that it would be done.
Just putting this out there...Why do you all assume a terrestrial or past reason for them faking the moon landing or actually going there? were the rumors of the fake moon landing created by those in control for misdirection purposes? If some of you older gents may remember, every time they went into space during the 60's to 80's it rained for days. Now it doesn't. Why? Are there earth artifacts (just rumors)that point to somethings being on the moon that we will need? The capstone that went on the Great Pyramid? What about a non human base? What about an ancient human base? Do we have more advanced technology than the Govt lets on? Are the super powers saber rattling to make it look good? How about if they are all in it together? Just because we assume that Russia and China ( and others) are a threat or in competition to us, doesn't mean they are. Misdirection is a MF'er.

That's whats up. I think more brothers should start getting into backyard astronomy. A lot of people think only scientist can see Jupiter's red spot, or Saturn's rings, or Mars' ice caps, but any one can with a decent scope. Hell you can even see Galaxies, and Nebulae.
I usually go to this spot by where my parents live out in the Country, there isn't any light pollution out there so I can get pretty decent views(as long as the atmosphere is good).
I'd say the first thing you should do is get Binoculars and a star map and learn the sky(constellations). If you go out there with out knowing how to anything you might get discouraged. It's also an expensive hobby.
As for as a good scope. Most beginners start with a Dobsonian Usually either an 8in or a 10in (I have a 10in Dobsonian). They're huge, but for the price(around $400/550) you can see most things in the sky. Most people eventually get a Barlow, and a set of eye pieces as well.
If you're in to Photography it'll be a lot more expensive, but most people either don't go that far, or wait until later to do it.

I know there were questionable camera angles and footage that doesn't coincide with gravity/ space and whatever.
I've seen footage of discrepancies that appear as if the shit was shot in a studio...
Like I've said, I'm somewhat undecided. Because on the flip:
- I'm sure we have technology that hasn't been exposed to the public.
- NASA may just be a "front piece".

Okay if you are one of the "we've never been to the moon" guys, you had better not be one of the guys who laughed at Sherri Shepard for saying she didn't know if the Earth was round. There's no credible evidence for a moon landing hoax: no camera angles (what the fuck does that mean?), no witnesses to the "conspiracy", nothing. Just some jabrones who sat in their basements and made up some shit based on what they don't know.

Heh, it'd be a pretty shitty conspiracy if there were "witnesses", or said "witnesses" actually went public. Check out the history of NASA's space program and the individuals involved. You'll find everything some fascinating coincidences at least. Also, consider that the space program, along with a lot of the technology that is "shown" to the unwashed masses, is perhaps a few decades (conservatively) older than what is actually possible. Nope, no witnesses here, just accomplices.
Funding is not as much of an issue as people might think for a top secret, multi-national facility on the moon (and God knows where else). You don't necessarily go to congress and ask for the money for "sekrit" bases and technology and shit. You'd have to produce a budget, have oversight, a degree of public knowledge, etc. Who wants that shit?
Just use the money from the thriving drug business and who knows what other nefarious ventures which provide unimaginable profit from human misery and suffering. A base up there is not out of the realm of possibility. Yeah I would love to know the truth and see it for myself as much as the next curious person, but hey, why the fuck should or would they tell me, or anyone of the other cattle anything? Either way, it's a compelling issue. My question would be, with the type of negative publicity that the recent (public) revelation and admission would bring, why allow it to get to the mainstream media? The government could have suppressed this type of thing forever and few would be the wiser. Why let everyone know now? What's the angle or rationale for doing so?
