Man how fucking hard is it to land on the moon. 
wind isn't comprised of oxygen only.....especially when yo get to higher altitudes, the less oxygen there is. the higher you get....the more the air is comprised of nitrogen and helium and other gases that we cant breathe. im not sure what atmospheric pressure the moon is comprised of....but if there are gases, then there can be a breeze....which explains why the flag was wavin imho.
The flag wasn't waiving. The astronauts were moving the flag, and the motion you see is from the movement of the flag when it was being placed. Also, the flag had metal arms embedded to make it point outward. The reason it looks like its waiving is because its wrinkled. Geezus, people.

That wasn't the only thing wrong with your post. The Air we breath is mostly Nitrogen(about 75%). Oxygen makes up about 21%. Also You don't find any Nitrogen the Higher up you get in the atmosphere, because Nitrogen and Oxygen are heavier than Helium/Hydrogen, thus much more is found on our level.
Reminds me. One of my favorite tv movies as a kid was CAPRICORN ONE. It was O.J. Simpson, Tom Brolin and the dude Sam that's the lawyer on LAW AND ORDER. They were 3 astronauts goin on a mission to Mars. I forget the reason but they had to fake it. So they did it in a studio somewhere in the desert. Next thing when they were goin home some black copters tried to take em out. So now they on the run in the desert cuz the govt. is tryin to kill em cuz they can't risk the secret gettin out. I remember the Brolin dude havin to eat a snake to survive and thinkin that was the worst thing in the world. Now we got tv shows where mufuckas eat cow nuts and intestines for money.

Yes... your referring to the "space race" correct? but to "go" only once no matter the cost, just doesn't seem logical or sane. Even for militaristic, scientific or economic (potential resources) purposes... especially considering all the money NASA has spent on less immediate purposes.

Read what you said again, what? The only purpose to go was for bullshit reasons in the first place. It cost a lot and there was hardly a benefit. To go again, regardless of costs and benefits, would be even more nonsensical than the first time. They wouldn't even get to brag and that's more resources down the drain with no return. It would make sense, only, if they had a logical purpose, there were potential benefits, and the cost wasn't to relatively steep. They have multiple reasons now, which is why it's an intended mission for the future.

The western mind/man has always had the inclination to dominate and expand, I dont see any reason why the moon would be different than any other colonial region on earth..
control of the moon could easyly translate into control the world. Unless NASA and various other agencies have no interest in that at all.
I think they "go" all the time or cant "go" at all (for external reasons)... not trying to get into a heavy debate, but that's my genuine perspective on the topic.

You're right, they do want to dominate and expand. They simply had no immediate well thought out or practical plan that would help them accomplish such a purpose (while they were obviously thinking about it). They are "just" starting to scratch the surface of the matter which is why the next mission is primary for research purposes. The first step in their plans for dominating and expanding onto the next frontier. Other countries are in the process of doing this as well.
