4/21/09 Tracy McGrady: "The Cleveland Cavaliers are not that good."

earlier in his career i thought this cat was good, now he's just stupid just like his cousin vince "half man/half bitch". 1st of all he mentioned the celtics last year like it was a lock for them to win it all. The same celtic team that went 7 games with atlanta and cleveland. GTFOH. Second even if you believe the Lakers are gonna win it all why should your team even play at all. Would he say that if he were playing, NO:smh:. Can't wait for him to get back to his team so Ron Artest can bitch slap him for not mentioning the rockets:angry:

i have never heard this said about a team with the best record in the league, until the cavs were that team. :hmm:
Well I said it about the Celtics last year. Prior to that the best record has been in the west for some time, in a conference where there were far better teams.

Him not getting out of the first round don't mean shit.

We jabber on and on about basketball, and none of us play professionally.

So by shitting on him we're taking a bigger shit on ourselves and might as well delete any basketball thread here.

He's qualified to talk about it IMO, and he's right as far as them winning on the road against elite teams. The Cavs have the best record, but they've been feasting on weaker teams in the east. you may want to fact check what you just wrote. Here's a little help. 26-4: Record vs. Western Conference
Guess what conference gave them the other 12 losses?

Even tonight they're beating a Pistons team that has been done the second that Iverson trade happened.

With that said I think they're still a very dangerous team and wouldn't be surprised if they did win it all.
If I was Detroit I would be looking to whip T-Pain's ass for putting that blackboard material out there...

I will be honest, he was asked a question and he gave his honest opinion. Sure, the knee jerk reaction is to dis him because he has never made it to the second round but that does prevent him from giving an opinion on who might when you really weigh in on just that question being answered.

All things considered though, this n!gga crazy, LOL.

tracy didnt do what everybody except skip bayless does. this is getting attention cause tracy decided to tell the truth and not fall down and kiss james feet.

way to go tracy

Touche lol.

If it ends up Cavs vs Lakers, I still think Lebron will have to have a monster series for them to win it. I mean... clearly dominant... because I think the Lakers have a much more talented team and can win without one player having really big games.... actually the Lakers would want to have even evenly-distributed scoring, etc....

:lol::lol::lol: This should get Cleveland fans riled up. Mutombo just hurt his Knee a few minutes ago. Forces Yao to play alot of minutes and he can't stay out of foul trouble. Houston might lose this series. Setting up a lakers VS portland matchup in the 2nd round. You know lakers have been struggling against portland forever. They havent won a Game in Portland in the Last 3 Years :lol::lol: Mc lady fails in his analysis.

Dosn't he come from the planet dumb fuck where up is down, good is bad, and losing in the first round means you win the title!

So what you do is go check other posts and repost within the same thread?

Anyway, you guys are missing my point.

While it's dumb for him to say, he's still far more qualified to say it than any of us.

I agree.

The Cavs have to contend with Gasol and Bynum up front. Outside of Lebron and Mo Williams there's no one on the team that creates their own shot.

If the Cavs DO win, it's a wrap for the league.

Who creates their own shot consistantly on the Lakers besides Kobe and Gasol

And the Cavs have Z, Varejao, Smith, and Wallace to go against the Lakers big men...im not trying to get into who will beat who cuz if they play each other that will get decided then..but thats not a really strong base of a point/argument :dunno:

I mean but is he wrong? Cavs had best record cause they play in the east that doesnt mean they are the best team. Lakers will expose the cavs in the paint. Plus you got Phil Jackson coaching against WHO? When adjustments need to be made Phil will when that everytime.

The Lakers dont CLEARLY have better talent than the Cavs. Kobe is better than leBron, but the Cavs have the edge with those point gaurds. Williams and that lil Albino fucker will kill the Lakers. Saying the Lakers have much better talent is Cav fans setting up their excuse before the series starts.

Kobe is so much smarter and better than LeBron its ridiculous. That might be the difference in the series

Yeah and Dallas Whipped the Heat both times in 06' by an average of 24.5 points. What good did it do them in the finals?

truth. (my bad d-town)......

and the cavs swept the spurs in the 07 reg season.....

where did that get them in the finals?

Some cats cant handle the truth. Tmac is right. Cleveland was 3-11 or something vs lakers/boston/orlando. And they got the record by playing all the weak ass east teams 4 times a year.

Dallas had no post player, that's why.

The Lakers do.

A better example would be...the Cavs.

IIRC the Cavs swept the season series vs. the Spurs in 2007.

But the Spurs swept the Cavs in the finals.

He didnt do anything but tell the truth. The guy asked him a question and he answered honestly with stats and information. Way to go Tracy.

His opinion is much better than all these pundits that have never stepped on a court.

People hate the truth

When I tell my niggas back home this, they don't wanna listen. This is when Shaq was still 20 & 10 and Zo was a solid contributor off the bench. Avery still saying he'd double team shaq instead of DWade if they played the finals over today.
