Player matches are more fun than rank. I hate when people quit after they get a win. Then it seems like it takes forever to get a match again.

I could use some help. I want to get my stick fixed first. Im a lot better than how I've been playing. I try to throw fireballs and im stuck throwing uppercuts. A few games after yours my Hard kick button got stuck. Sakura wouldnt stop throwing kicks for shit!! lol.

Wasn't necessarily the spamming, but I found out Zangief's throws have really short frames and crazy priority.

And I played some ranked matches and had like 3 people quit right when I was about to win from chipped damage.

I like the lobbies better in player matches but I've been finding better players in ranked matches.

All Mad Catz Fightpad Owners ALERT, YOU CAN FIX YOUR CONTROLLER TO BE PERFECT!!!! FOUND THIS ON SHORYUKEN MESSAGE BOARD!:

"Our thumbs (those of us of this planet) naturally favor the bottom half of the controller because this is where our hands and arms originate in respect to the controller. It is why it's not so hard to get the bottom diagonals, but hard to reach the upper diagonals (due to the larger D-pad).

You'll need:

• 3.0mm small phillips head screwdriver
• Supermount Tape (From Radio Shack or somewheres)
• Scissors
• A beverage of your liking to celebrate after

1. Lay the controller buttons down (so the buttons don't spill out later)
2. Remove all the screws. Lift up the copyright tape to find the final screw.
3. Remove the side rubber grips
4. Lift up the back shell
5. Remove the DP/LS/RS switch and put it with your screws
6. Remove the 4 screws attaching the mother board to the button half of the controller shell
7. Lift the controller cord out of the little grove it's nestled in
8. Set the mother board aside (if the button activation pads fall off it's okay, you can put them back easily, it's not rocket science)
9. Take a look at the D-Pad underside in all its stupidly flawed glory
10. Cut out a small square of Supermount tape with your scissors (it should be smaller than radius of the "up" tab of the d-pad)
11. Take off ONE side of the tape (though it won't do anything if both sides are exposed)
12. Affix the tape to the "up" tab of the exposed D-Pad
13. Use your finger to make sure the tape is nice and flat and secure and you're DONE. Yes... Really!
14. Screw your motherboard back in (make sure the wire is sitting snug in the groove you took it out of
15. Put the DP/LS/RS switch back in properly
16. Screw the back shell back in

Viola. You've just participated in making Mad Catz look like the complete mindless dopes they are. I'm no smarty pants. I'm sure some one will come up with a more cleaner fix. If I can do it so can you.

Plug your controller in and test it out. Your finger won't have to overcompensate to get your character to jump or do flash kicks, flying head butts, head stomps, or wall dives. All this while having greater control to charge attacks in any direction and having your buttons where you want them. CRACK OPEN YOUR DRINK AND CELEBRATE."

It is really frustrating...and I know I'm supposed to be learning how to be a better fighter, but dayum, everytime I get up, I get knocked back down!! It's worse than an ex-con looking for a job being locked up again and again!

Capcom really needs to make the ranked lobbies like player matches where you just get put back out to the lobby instead of having to find another player.

Sometimes it will take me a round or two to figure out someone's play style, especially if they like to spam moves. Then I'll dig in that ass and they'll quit after 3 or 4 matches.

It also helps with players who are too good for me, I had some guy from Japan tear me a new one 4 times with Gouken.

nah you had akuma and i had ryu i believe. that's a difference because ryu has anti air and projectiles. Vega has no anti air or projectiles. that's the difference. everyone turtles but having a high tier character ala bison, akuma etc. and turtle against a vega or gen (cats without projectiles or decent anti air) is wack. hell i had dudes turtle against my balrog.

Nah I know son...truthfully that shit wouldn't phase me even if you was, I don't get why nigs get so hysterical on here but I kinda understand. Theres only one person on this board who really gets under my skin but hes blocked so i guess that doesn't count....LOL. Most people don't like losing but I don't mind it. Pressure gives a diamond its shape and character. Losing creates alot of pressure...so being good without ever losing is not really possible.
