It says alot when your big event book has to be broken down panel by panel just for your readers to have small idea about what the fuck is going on in it.

The jokes were rolling about "FINAL CRISIS" at NY Comic Con this past weekend. DC's Dan DiDio even had a PowerPoint presentation prepared to connect "FINAL CRISIS" and "BATMAN: R.I.P.".

and I would love to get that new thor...I missed the boat on that one.

Osborn is head of SHIELD ( now called HAMMER ). He replaced Tony Stark, Tony is a fugitive. Osborn created replacement Avengers ( everyone except Sentry and Ares ). The story arc just started, but it will be standard marvel stuff: huge event, huge changes, climax in the middle, fall flat, everything back to status quo.

Shit was what they did In Batman RIP. Totally went against character.. just to do some shit, they gonna have to change BACK, because it made no sense.
The artwork is banana's, hes one of my favorites.
The Story.. not so much.

Damn it looks like DC made a mistake and let Grant have too much control over the book. He more than likely got so caught up in his "Occult perspective" he forgot about the general audience. You can't make a mainstream book too esoteric for the masses. Good thing I didn't spend money on these. This is not "The Invisibles".

But here's the thing:

Tons of people at the Con said they absolutely ENJOYED it!

Now I love Morrison's respect and homages to a lot of DC's late 60s/early 70s Characters that he's done. And honestly, I haven't finished the entire series. But after being at the Comic Con, I decided that I'm going to have to get all those issues together and read them from beginning to end.

I think DC let Morrison have his way because only very few people understand what he's doing on a given project.

And let's be real...

NO ONE writes like that Dude.
That's not to say that there aren't other great comic book writers. It's just that Morrison is in a class by himself.
