why didn't puff release it like this????

5 star post!!!

Biggie is my favorite rapper.

Puff had no intentions of releasing Ready To Die in this form. Puffs vision for Bad Boy was to be the Motown of Hip-Hop. In other words, he wanted to take the best talent he could find and water down their music to appeal to a wider audience. It was the gift and the curse so to speak. He was able to put on some brilliant artists, but in turn those artist had to sell their soul to achieve what was almost guaranteed success by fucking with the Hip-Hop wonder boy.
Anybody that remembers the Lox when they were just mix-tape and white label artist knows that they were ferociously hardcore. Once they got with Diddy, they were doing Rod Stewert covers and singing about being "jiggy". It was simply embarrassing. They grew tired of it and moved on for harder pastures. It aint work... Ruff Ryder just didn't have the golden touch that Puff did. If you want to sell thousands of hardcore records, that's cool. If you want to sell millions, fuck with Puff.
