I for one appreciate that. I can't tell you how many times I missed checking the thread on Wednesday and had to come back and search for the book i'm fiending for. This makes my life a lot easier to do a search for the title and find what I thought I missed.

He can.

In the Marvel Universe, the 100+ ton ranking usually means that the character has no known power limit.

The two best examples of this are the Hulk and the Juggernaut.

It's Marvel's way of saying. "We don't know how strong this mufucka is because he's always pushing the boundaries" (or lack thereof)...

ALL the Avengers? Hold up playa, we talking the orignal...the west coast, the NEW..the mighty and the dark? LOL, darn near every superhero worth mentioning in marvel has been one over the years. Besides, DCU vs Marvel would be judged no contest, you're thinking too down to Earth(pun intended), both universes got mofos with godlike powers that would through everything out of balance. That's why I always laugh when they do these crossovers.

You're forgetting supes is not immune to magic, and it really does a number on him. So basically any magic user could basically stop him cold... Scarlet Witch,Dr Strange.....

You're quoting Wizard not DC, let DC set his limits(which they never have.) The current Superman is depowered compared to the previous incarnations. Wizard's assessment has no validity. :smh:

That 100 class ranking is just a way to say "he's as strong as he needs to be for the story to work". Most of them don't have defined power limits, but it's safe to say that with the hulks feats, such as holding up the 150 billion ton mountain, knocking a meteor the size of the earth away, and holding tectonic plates together, put him up there in strength. You're right, superman's base strength is higher than the Hulk's, but if you put a 100,000 pound obstacle in his way, the shit's gonna move.

Where'd you get that Thor can only lift 95 tons from? If that were true, he'd be getting smacked up like The Thing when he tries to fight Hulk. You could bring up the other powers he has, but when he and Hulk go at it, it's usually head up.

Yeah but that cheap writing. When DC comes out with a character - They always put some over the top cap on their abilities type of shit.

It's like DBZ in that U.

Only when serious writers step in and make a compelling villian or event do they show the "con" of their abilities.

That is why JLA and Avengers crossover was a good read (for the most part) when they explained the laws of their universe being different.

Don't forget supes is vuln to magic...

It would probably be that part that would have knocked the fuck out in the marvel U since most of the heavy hitters are magic based (Thor, Herc, Ares...etc)

Superman is a problem for anyone in the Avengers. Thor would give him a run,he'd beat the shit out of iron man. All together with cap leading them though, I think they coud probably figure a way to take him.

It depends on the writers, In AVENGERS VS JLA (a slightly crazed) Superman was fucking Thor up. Hercules and She-Hulk had to save him.

But if they really wanted to stop him The Scarlet Witch could have shut him down in the first issue.

I doubt Sentry could take Superman because if Sentry's power is the same a 1000 suns Superman would just get stronger the whole time they were fighting.
