Empowered is the story of Empowered (Elissa Megan Powers - E.M. Powers - or "Emp" for short), a lonely and self-conscious young woman who works as a superhero. She is constantly berated by the community at large, including her self-absorbed teammates from the super-group, "The SuperHomeys". Empowered is a constant source of ridicule, as her skin-tight costume, which gives her super strength and invulnerability, tends to shred at the gentlest of touches. Luckily, her suit can regenerate itself given time; however, the suit's fragility (which often leads to her being nearly unclothed most of the time) leads to her failing on nearly every mission and needing rescue by her teammates, as her powers disappear with the suit's damage. She is invariably captured and tied up bondage-style by villains; photos of her trussed up and gagged are very popular among fans on the Internet, much to Emp's chagrin.

Just as Empowered's self worth drops to a new low, she finds love with Thugboy. A former henchman to supervillains, (as part of the freelance Witless Minions; the WM rans scams against supervillains, pretending to loyally work for them while secretly stealing their equipment and ill-gotten gains and selling them on eBay. This ended brutally when a villain named Willy Pete killed all of the Witless Minions save Thugboy, whom he has vowed to find.) Thugboy has a checkered past but has nothing but love and devotion for Empowered despite her persistent doubts. Empowered also gets encouragement from Ninjette (Kozue Kaburagi, 鏑木 梢), a runaway from a ninja clan based in New Jersey who once captured Empowered when under contract, but when the pick-up crew failed to arrive let her go and took her drinking instead, where the two bonded as friends. Although Ninjette claims she can't be a superheroine because she lacks what she considers to be suitably large "rackage", she nonetheless has often helped Empowered battle various evildoers.

Well, it's been released since November 5th and I can't find it anywhere. So I thought that maybe I missed it and some of you can find anything on the web. But I guess it's haven't been scanned yet, I just have to be more patient.

Marvel loves to do this the final issue of the event the big fight is over by page 6 and the remaining pages are talk talk about the ''changes'' :hmm:
DC been hyping Final Cris as ''the day evil won'' and Marvel comes out of nowhere and now the villains run the show :confused:

yeah, wow as in what a major let down. that was some anti-climatic shit, can't believe they took their time with this. probably took the artist forever just on the damn opening spread(which was nice btw)

seriously though, just like with Civil War and WWH, Marvel seems to blow their load at the beginning and run out of steam by the end. I'm tell you Annihilation is probably the best "event" they've had in the last 4 years.

But does anyone find this interesting? After Final Crisis comes Blackest Night and After Secret Invasion comes Dark Reign... Not only is DC and Marvel not using their Key Words "Crisis or Secret or War" but their next Mega Arc has Black and Dark in the Title.

Emma and Namor are better when their bad. I'm tired of this white queen chick being in charge(more or less) of the x-camp. its time for the queen to be dethroned, but that's a topic for another day. And Namor is never good or bad, he just looks out for his people 1st. And frankly his kingdom was on the short end of the stick during and after Civil War, he's lucky Hulk didn't come down there for some payback.

I'm gonna read this Dark Reign stuff, just to see how it goes.

I been trying to tell ya'll about Emma for the last 6 months!
Namor is always on the fence, not good or bad.
I'm surprised that Doom is there. He does not work well with others.

Where was the Sentry? I don't remember seeing him.

I, for one, will be glad when all of this Crisis/War business comes to an end. It has been going on for at least the last 2 years.
Let's get back to old fashioned good guys vs bad guys 2-3 part story arcs.
