Damn yall, do any of you remember when this cat used to be all cheesy and fight them D-Lister villains? Now, month after month, it seems like they keep bringing the fire with Nova! This shit is fire! I like how he meets up with his old New Warriors buddy and they all realize he's now this bad-ass and they are...crazed nutjobs (Speedball/ ) or security guards (Darkhawk). Good shit, don't sleep...
I think NOVA was based on Green Lanter when he first came out in the 70's.
Everybody always said he had too much power to be in the New Warriors. He was written as a washed up super-hero in the first issue.
But this is a pretty good character make over.
He is basically taking the place of Quasar.

I'm not a huge comic book head, but I do read from time to time. I read more now actually b/c of this thread. What is up with the Ultimates? What is it about, and is it worth reading?
Its like a real world Avengers dealing with real world government (that have Superhuman of mass destruction). Its like if they made a movie about the Avengers it would be this. I would defently tell you to pic Ultimates 1 and 2 they have some great story and after you finish reading that pick up ultimates 3

Loeb and Madureira turned that series into SHIT.
Loeb can write better than this.
