She's only been a pain on this one issue with Big Oil. She did what most states (other than Louisiana) have done - and that's make sure that the Big Oil pays their fair share to the state. Not a big deal.

This is NOT good...

1. A lot of women who are still bitter about a woman not being on a ticket will quickly go to John McCain.


2. Biden can't get into her ass during the debates because she is a woman and it would be perceived as bullying.

Do you even know the history of women on the Presidential Ticket? This will go over like a lead balloon.

And those bitter women are democrats first and foremost, so why would they vote for a woman who's pro-life and a staunch Republican? Would Blacks vote for McCain if he put Colin Powell on the ticket?

As for Biden he can debate her without being vicious, by just talking about the issues such as Foreign Policy and the Economy of which Palin has zero experience on.

You know what, I didn't think that there was no possible way that he could win (thank God), especially after the DNC and those speeches, but know, McCain made a great move! He will gain a lot of Hillary supporters, and a lot of moderates and he has sured up his conservative base. He also took a lot of wind out of Obama's sails with this pick, so dare I say it... He might have a chance (God help us) to win.

Do you think Team Obama is winging this election like the Republicans are? The Obama Campaign is setting the tone for this race and have the Republicans in a reactionary state and as a result leaves them [Reps] in a very vulnerable state. Right now everyone is hyped up and excited but after tomorrow the dust will settle and it will be on the Republicans to state their message and goals for America. If you think that mission is going to be anything other than the same ol' Washington Politics you are fooling yourself! For real..but you can't fault cats. I'm flipping the news channels and its all fear all the time. There all "how many disaffected Clinton supporters will vote for McCain because of Palin". Forget Dems just had their convention, forget that the Clintons just endorsed Obama, forget that Palin is NO Hillary Clinton, they just keep pumping the fear. A funny theme I noticed during the Dem convention were the reports from reporters on the floor on the convention saying if there was a rift in the Obama/Clinton supporters you could not tell..but the yuck mouths at the anchor booth won't let it die. Its the same style of "news reporting" that created the East/West "beef"..yeah there was a story there, but it died and they don't want to let it go.

2) Her experience consists of being the mayor of an Alaska town and 2 years as Alaska Gov. thats all. Her selection takes the GOP argument of Obama's experience off the table.
3) She has ZERO foreign policy credentials.
4) If you don't know, Alaska has a serious corruption problem, she is already under investigation, so there is a chance something could pop up about her.
5) All those women who so strongly supported Hillary are mostly liberal pro choicers. Palin is pro life, so is McCain. Up to 3 supreme court justices can be appointed during the first term. A GOP president threatens Roe v. Wade, and the femmes of the world don't want that.

Repubs made a sly decision. Whether or not it flies, it has some intangible traction. She's female and attractive. She's made some boneheaded moves/abuses of power, but it can be easily spun to make it coast. A woman defending her loved ones doing some wild shit that many would easily do in the same situation? Not quite enough. Viewing McCain and Palin running together, they subliminally evoke images of the white family unit. That shouldn't be underestimated. There are other subtle tugs in there. In my opinion, those will be the points that are most important to observe and that will be the most manipulated for the masses.

Obama is very skilled at making the most out of a tight situation. I'm interested in how this will turn out. Maybe the Dems will pull a rabbit out of a hat or Biden will sacrifice himself somehow. Hillary is certainly benefitting from this all. I don't think Biden debating a woman is such a bad thing, done correctly. If Biden can remake himself and be a team player, they still have a chance.
