Here's the bottom line. If there were no police, there would be chaos.
3 months without cops, and you would be begging for law enforcement.
Cops are a good thing to respectful and productive members of society.
Yes, wrong place at the wrong time happens, but if you know the rules of being a gentleman or woman then you will have no problem.
True story.......
Left a friend's party and sat my cup of liquor in the driveway to go pic up a chick. Coming back to the party I was trying to parallel park on the side of the street. I pull up, and as soon as I put the car in reverse, flashing blue lights!!!
My first thought.....put your seatbelt on....roll down your tinted windows.....keep your hands in sight.....don't talk directly to his face cause you've been drinking..alot.
He comes up and I have my licence and concealed carry permit ready. He asks if I have a gun, I say yes sir, it's in my holster. He says ok give it to me, I say "with all due respect, I'd rather you reach in and get it, I don't want you to think I'm trying to do anything with it." So he reaches in and takes it. I tell him it's loaded. He says....ok Mr. _____________ I'll be right back.
My chick is freaking out, and starting to get angry....I'm thinking WTF are you getting angry about??? I tell her to chill out, nothing's wrong.
He comes back a min later and says.....Ok, Mr. ____________ everything checks out. Now get this.....
He says, I just pulled you over to see if you had been drinking, by the way, you can't reverse in the street.
I said, oh, ok. My fault officer....Thank you very much. He says, have a nice night. I say, you too.
I get out and walk to my cup of liquor and start back drinking.

This situation could have gone horribly for me if I would have popped off at the mouth like some of you "say" you would have. Here's a list of the things I could have been charged with:
1. Reversing in the road
2. Illegal Tint
3. DUI
4. DUI w/ a loaded concealed weapon
5. No Seatbelt
But, I wasn't, why. Because I understand the "hidden" rules of society and remained polite and cordial with an officer of the law.
You guys are idots to think there is another way of approaching a cop.
