I used to check static out when it first started airing on tv. I had no idea that it was actually a comic series though. I thought some white tv mind at fox studios thought it would be hip to make a black teen crime fighter.

man great post, i loved the whole milestone launch that brings back such memories! im glad they have a place in DCU i want to support but i cant stand the DCU wish they came to the Marvel universe. I doubt they incorporate Blood Syndicate the crossover between them and icon was my favorite, Batman vs Hardware would be better than superman vs icon (For the record Superman vs anyone is corny)

since Slade isn't here, I'll answer that-- that character is Rose Wilson, aka New 'Ravager'. She is the daughter of Slade Wilson (Deathstroke the Terminator) and current member of the Teen Titans in DC continuity.

That has to do with the fact that the Titans were mentioned in an episode of Static Shock and Batman planned on introducing Static to them.

I own every single Blood Syndicate issue back in my parent's home in America. After getting digital copies of them off the internet a couple years ago I reread all the issues again to see if it still holds up after all this time. It does.

That's what I'm saying. Milestone, from the jump, grabbed me. The way the characters were drawn, the grittiness of the storylines (regardless of which series you tried I read), etc was a drastic change from any other comic company.

For obvious reasons, it didn't last as long as it should've, but with Static coming back I'm hoping that gives legs to the rest of the comics.

Funny I was just thinking about Icon (and Hancock) the other day because I had never read any of those Milestone comics while I was in college. Hopefully lord willing some of us will actually gain spiritual powers to become like a Icon or a Hancock and take back this planet from this devil.

Good to see Dwayne McDuffie (major props on his JLU show scripts) use some of his pull like that for the black comic creators. I think what hurt the Milestone Universe was that is never really seemed like a full scale part of DC's universe. Like, it's there but it really isn't. Hope this time works out.
