What equipment do i need to create a Rosettastone-like for one AfriKan language? What am i looking at financially?
Fact: AfriKan Cultures are dying at an alarming rate, thanks to who you know. The most affected is the generation born after the colonization era. The educational system, and media have greatly contributed to the alienation of this generation.
How do we get it back? I'm thinking that by saving the languages we can save our history, traditions...OUR IDENTITY.

Transmission of AfriKan knowledge is mostly oral, therefore I believe that having such a system in place would potentially help save some african cultures from extinction, while expanding the knowledge of the AfriKan Diaspora.
The same way they Impose it upon us to learn foreign languages to preserve their history, we should Force upon ourselves to LEARN OUR NATIVE TONGUES.
Damn I speak 4 european languages, but i can't communicate with the Afrikan next door.

I would love to see anyone of you go to Afrika and be able to sit down with a great grand mother/Father and listen to his/her stories and advices, without a translator.
I would love to see anyone of you be able to communicate with East or West Afrikans and LEARN from them, Better TEACH them in their own language.

IF it has been done already please direct me.

BTW: The Rosetta Stone only offers SWAHILI... SWAHILI is not the representation of the entire Afrikan Continent. Find out where the biggest Afrikan empires were, that's where history resides.

Thats a good idea. Im feelin it fo real. WQHich Afrikan languages would u consider more important to start with. Do you have rosetta stone by the way?? We should probably make our own version of it upon learning how it works. I just started using it recently, and Im feelin it. Doesnt seem to hard to accomplish. Ill look into it and check with any programmers I know.

Thanks a lot. SERIOUSLY. But how much harder would it have been to have dropped a higher quality 700mb version??

BTW, Ill be droppin a nice one soon."Dr. Sebi joins the United Nuwaupian Nation" about 2 hrs.

Plus Bobby Hemmitt and the Nuwaubians"

nice quality of course.

Please drop as much Bobby as you can, I've been missing his tapes for minute now.

I had the same thought a year ago. Good drop. Swahili is a good start, however, due to the vast amount of resources available. I've been studying Swahili along with members of my family for the last year (including my mom). I want to translate all the knowledge I and others I know have into as many African languages as possible. I'm into software development but I'm not a master...yet. Rosetta Stone software shouldn't be difficult to emulate. I also want to translate any knowledge beneficial to building a nation (economics, chemical engineering, waterworks, you name it). This will be good for our people and we won't have to starve doing it. All it takes is discipline and commitment. Since you know 4 languages you realize learning various African languages won't be easy but it's worth the challenge. Do you have any suggestions on languages other than Swahili? I was thinking...

The map below shows the main branches of Afrikan Languages as well as the most popular ones within these branches.

Whichever language is selected to start this process is fine, since we are more concerned with Duplicating that methodology to the rest of AfriKan Languages.
I have not purchased the Rosetta Stone as of yet. Those who have it can be of great help by identifyng the components, which make this software so successful.

My personal choice would come from the ancient dynasties of Ghana, Mali, Songhai.
-Ghana <Ewe or Akan> (Its Rich History, Its interconnection with Other West African Countries)
-Guinee<Bambara, Malinke, Mende> (A very Rich history as well, and they are also connected to a lot of West African Countries)

To Those Simplifying the importance of African Languages
Little story: One year ago i found that a tribe in Cameroon Called the Bassaa, also existed in Liberia (Someone to co-sign). They Speak the same native tongue, have the same culture but are separated by 8 or 9 countries. We realized it when King Georges Manneh Oppong Weah himself came to play soccer in Cameroon's Championship back in 1988. He surprised everybody from that tribe by listening and talking to them with the same accent, and knew all about their traditions.
The point of the story is that many Afrikan tribes have been misplaced throughout history, but the languages remained...until now. These languages are among the Pivotal Points for the reconstruction of AfriKan History,

Thanks for the map, makia. I'll dig into the Rosetta software when I get a chance. I know it's essentially pictures and audio files. There is also a type writer component, voice recognition component, etc. Again, I'll do a little research when I have time and post what I find here.

I watched a documentary about giants and they were talking about a Indian tribe in North America who were at war with red haired giants. Check around the 3:25 mark.
