i've read the graphic novel a few times and went to theatre with low expectations.

good damn...i walked out pleasantly suprised. There was no way they could translate the novel and have a bankable blockbuster, but they did a damn good job capturing the theme of film. I was also suprised that funny scenes really worked and didnt feel outta place.

the cast did a great job but Morgan killed it with some quoatables.
the movie also did great business

"WALL-E," the Pixar Animation tale of a robot toiling away on a long-abandoned Earth, debuted as the No. 1 movie with $62.5 million in ticket sales, with Jolie's assassin thriller "Wanted" opening in second place with $51.1 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.

Wanted was.....Aw ight...I give it a 8 out of 10 only because some of the visual violence was forced...meaning they showed more folks getting blasted in the head then necessary to get the point across...would I get the dvd or get a clear copy? HELL YEAH!!!!
Jolie does nothing for me, too damn skinny and pale...show me them DSL lips delivering a good BJ and she would move up my list!!!

Am I the only one that think it was just average? I saw it for free 10 days ago and was happy I didn't pay to see it. I could be wrong though because my girl loved it. Some of the actions scenes were too over the top, like when he assasinated the guy in the limo. I don't wanna ruin it, but that was bullshit.

Yeah it was almost like that shit was based on a comic book or something.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It was fun. The cast was good. Morgan Freeman's line was classic because no one expexts that from him. Jolie looked a little crackish/heroin addict but still sexy.

That movie turn out better then I though, I all ready read the comic and I felt before they should have stay true to the comic like Watch Man but it was done pretty well every one in the theater had a good time.:)

i thought i was the only one to remember that....you know they even cut that scene out of the DVD...

oh yeah i just got back from seeing "Wanted":yes: and im D/L it ASAP..soon as someone has it up.

The critics have me cracking up. They were sayign the bullet should have got top billing as an actor. They were tired of seeing the slo mo bullets over and over.

yeah i went to the theatre at Camp Creek.....shit was heavily crowded last night. the movie is worth going to see 2 or 3 times. best movie of the summer imho.

This was the best movie i paid to see in a long time , i felt good after leaving out the room , which was crowded as hell . Definitely one of the best movie of 2008. Recommended..

naw u aint the only one i thought the movie was overrated myself

As an avid comic book reader and fan of the graphic novel I give it a solid 7 out of 10. Obviously it was nothing like the comic and for good reason. When you have one villain, for instance, named “Shit-face” and is, yup, made of shit then you most definitely have some creative obstacles to overcome!!!!

I give it a 7 because they still could have made it more like the comic book. Unless Halle Berry turned it down, they should've cast her as 'Fox'. I believe Morgan Freeman's character was supposed to be white if I'm not mistaken, but to avoid spoiling the movie I won't get into my confusion here. I think the plot of the comic book could've been adapted to film as long as they did it right. It was at a solid 5 until the the main character goes after everyone and has that sick action sequence, then it went up to 7.

Just got back from seeing it.

Angelina Jolie is ONE BAD-ASS ANOREXIC-LOOKING CHICK!

Girl was completely visceral. It's shit like this that she should do more often.

Morgan Freeman..."SHOOT THE MOTHER FUCKER!"
That line from him was priceless.

And that scene with the train in Prague was chilling.

My major problem with the film was James McAvoy. I didn't find Dude's transformation convincing at all. Though some parts of it was funny.
And the curving-bullets shit was overdone after the 5th time.

And I felt the film should have ended with *Wesley at the ATM as he loses everything in the end. Not with Sloan getting his. That way it would have been a great set-up for a sequel.*

As much as I loved the graphic novel, I wasn't expecting the film to follow it.

Just bring on THE FUCKIN' DARK KNIGHT already.:yes::yes:

Damn this is a super "hero" summer...

1. Iron Man
2. Hulk
3. Wanted
4. Hancock
5. Batman

Am I missing anything...? (Don't say Punisher... :hmm:)
