This comic just gets stupider. I hope they can write some better stories than this.

Here's a good interview with Kirkman, the writer of the Walking Dead. There's a shit load of spoilers so if you haven't gotten to issue 42 yet, you don't want to read it. It does have some interesting viewpoints on how the book came about and where it's going.

interesting cast choices, I could debate most of them but your Governor pick is dead on. Well...(no homo) I think Chestnut and Biel are more sex symbols than good actors. The thing is supposed to be character driven, you need some Oscar worthy mofos that don't mind looking grimey in front of the camera, not some overpaid eye candy, you follow me?
Oh and why stop there, cast the rest of the them, even some of them that have passed on.
Fellas, this book is straight crack, and easily better than any zombie movie ever made. If there are lurkers out there reading this that still haven't picked it up. You're a damn fool.

Planetary
Planetary is an organization billing themselves as "Archaeologists of the Impossible", tracking down the world's secret history. Funded by the mysterious Fourth Man, who it is said could be anyone from Bill Gates to Adolf Hitler, the field team consists of three superhumans: Jakita Wagner, who is strong, fast and nearly invulnerable; The Drummer, who can detect and manipulate nearby information streams, most commonly used to manipulate computers and other electronics; the new recruit Elijah Snow, who can extract heat from nearby substances at will, freezing them; and the former third man Ambrose Chase, who has a "selective physics-distortion field".
The series is set in the Wildstorm Universe, along with other titles such as Stormwatch, The Authority, DV8 and Gen¹³. Snow was born on January 1, 1900, as was Jenny Sparks of the Authority, and the two know each other. Planetary rarely crosses over with other Wildstorm series, although references are made to characters in other series, such as Henry Bendix from Stormwatch.
Planetary's field team travels the world investigating strange phenomena: monsters and other beings, unusual relics, other superhumans, and powerful secrets which certain individuals are trying to keep hidden from the rest of the world. Their purpose in doing this is partly curiosity, and partly to use what they learn for the betterment of mankind. There are, however, groups who oppose their goals, and the organization has a substantial history which is gradually revealed during the series.

Wanted is a creator-owned comic book miniseries, consisting of six issues written by Mark Millar with art by J. G. Jones and published by Top Cow in 2003 and 2004 as part of Millarworld.[1] It features an amoral protagonist who discovers he is the heir to a career as a super-villainous assassin in a world where such villains have secretly taken control of the planet.
The series is adult in nature, similar to more grown-up 'super-hero' titles such as The Authority or The Ultimates. Like the Authority or the Squadron Supreme, several characters are based on DC Comics characters and super-villains (See below). The series also bears resemblance to the 1999 films Fight Club and The Matrix, as it is about a despondent man in an unfulfilling white-collar job who finds a new lease on life but becomes extremely violent and marked as outside of 'normal' society. It differs from these films in that the main character has no desire to improve the world through this violence, but only embraces it in the pursuit of selfish, egocentric pleasures.
The Sunday Times dubbed the title "the Watchmen for super-villains."[2]

The Filth was Grant Morrison's second major creator-owned series for Vertigo after The Invisibles. Initially starting as a Nick Fury proposal for Marvel Comics, Morrison adapted it as a 13 part series for Vertigo. The title refers both to the police (in British slang) and to pornography (in which Morrison "immersed" himself researching the series).[1] Morrison has said that the series is his favorite among his works.[2]
The series tells the story of Greg Feely, a bachelor whose main interests are his cat and masturbating to pornography. Feely is actually a member of a shadowy organization called The Hand and their attempts to keep society on the path to the 'Status Q'. (Of note, while the protagonists of The Invisibles fight against authority, Feely and his allies fight as representatives of it against a range of absurd foes.)

I highly recommend anyone who hasn't read transmet to seriously do so. One of the best books EVER.
