Why the hell not! Porn is legal… What is different from taking pics or making a movie, marketing and selling it???
Yeah…. I get it now…. Ya take out permits and or pay fees to the City/State to make the movie and pay everyone involved (Actors, cameramen, Etc.).:hmm:

So what do you think????

Nothing really. They just hide it throught "escorts" and "Strip Clubs." That shit is no different. They should do it like Amsterdam and have all the women registered and tested on the regular. I wouldnt pay for it but it would help the ones that do.

Feeling ya on that....

yes, some men trick out on gifts and pay bills so in reality aren't they doing the same thing?

yes it should.
legalize it.
regulate it.
tax it.

Adultery should be the damn crime!

Ok let's say they legalize prostitution, how do you handle it when your man is getting off before he gets home? Don't get me wrong I believe it should be legalized just like weed should also be legal.

In Vancouver a man just got convicted of murdering 6 prostitutes over the course of 10 years. He's about to stand trial for another 30 or so. In Seattle the Green River Killers killed about 40. If prostitutes were allowed to sell their wares legally in a safe environment none of that shit would have happened.

Honestly I feel prostitution should be legalized and I will tell you why.

1. It is the oldest profession in the world and will continue to be a profitable business even during a depression or any other drastic change in the economy.

2. While the government and law enforcement are getting rich by extorting prostition rings, that money could be legaly taxed because it can't be stopped and it will continue in one form or another and could be going towards our communities.

and

3. What a woman chooses to do with her body no matter how f'ed up we may think it is, is her choice and we can't change that.

Those are some good points. They might as well legalize it along with weed too. There is the economy boost right there.

theoretically....legalizing prostitution is great but i'll tell you why it most likely wont happen on a large scale

1) insurance
-will be HELLA expensive to get & for some employers that wont be profitable

2) actual prostitutes profit
-do some research on how much tax n fees are taken out of the women's cut
-they lose about 50% of thier wages to tax n fees

3) stigma & bias
-to legalize prostitution, america will have to re-evaluate thier views towards sexuality
-you would have to deal with:
legislative, judicial and enforcement biases
healthcare biases
liscensing biases
and the list goes on

4) revelation of identity
-patrons would have to be documented, go thru health checks and what not
-part of the glamour of prostitutes is the discretion...which would be lost
*this also would effect ppl's conscious cuz now they are going thru the ringer just to get some sex*

I agree. They need to bring the brothels back with STD testing. And if a man ws going to cheat he's going to do it anyway. But if they clean up the brothels, couples can go. The government is always trying to put morals on everything. how can cigarettes which kill millions of people every year be legal and prostitution isn't?

What is stopping him now????????

Oh there's nothing stopping him just curious how a woman handles it. Just the idea with the legalization of prostitution it's like stopping at the local liquor store and its all legal. Either way she won't be too happy.

I started this because of the recent shit with the New York Governor.

My opinion is his hypocritical ass should go to jail and endure the same fate as the ones he had convicted! However, the young lady he did the business transaction with is being treated very unfairly. They had a business deal and now the whole world knows of the deal! Her Myspace page, address, name… Are they going to protect her from the assholes, murders & nuts? Now that they exposed her private life are they going to protect her in any way???

We ain’t learned shit! If Jesus Christ will stop the stoning of a whore then what the fuck we should do???

If I sin it is between me and my Creator and NO one else on this bitch.

My two cents….
Please stay up!

i knew someone was going to go there. the brothel that you chose does NOT represent most brothel...it is a highly successful one, far away from the typical brother which there are more of

now Nevada has NO state tax....almost everywhere else does. also, depending on how it is regulated it could be a state mandated issue, not federal (the feds aint tryna be responsible for this) so that means that the individual states can manage and regulate it in different ways..so that wont benefit the women on a larger scale

they will also lose wages because of more supply for the demand unless they step their game up on some EXTRA shit

here are some links that support my claims...i will try to find more later. i did a debate on this undergrad i will see if i can dig up some old stuff

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostitution_in_Nevada

here are some snipets

"The precise licensing requirements vary from county to county. License fees for brothels range from an annual $100,000 in Storey County to an annual $200 in Lander County. Licensed prostitutes must be at least 21 years old, except in Storey County and Lyon County, where the legal age is 18.

State law requires that registered brothel prostitutes be checked weekly for several sexually transmitted diseases and monthly for HIV; furthermore, condoms are mandatory for all oral sex and sexual intercourse. Brothel owners may be held liable if customers become infected with HIV after a prostitute has tested positive for the virus (NRS 041.1397).

Nevada has laws against engaging in prostitution outside of licensed brothels, against encouraging others to become prostitutes, and against living off the proceeds of a prostitute."

"If the customer chooses a woman, the price negotiations take place in the woman's room, which are often overheard by management. The house normally gets half of the negotiated amount. If the customer arrives by cab, the driver will receive some 20% of whatever the customer spends; this is subtracted from the woman's earnings."

http://www.bayswan.org/Laura.html

The brothels charge additional for room and board and several of them have the prostitutes supplement the house employees income by giving them required tips.

The houses discourage and in many cases forbid prostitutes to see doctors of their own choosing. My experience with the house doctors has often been rushed, inadequate exams for inflated prices; some even exhibiting a patronizing or sexist attitude! HIV testing is done on a monthly basis even though many health professionals say that testing twice a year is adequate. Condoms became mandatory in brothels in 1986, only after the Department of Public Health applied pressure. Many owners were against mandatory condom use for fear that it would hurt their business. Before 1986, the smarter prostitutes were using them anyway. Their business would suffer as a result because the brothels were not supportive to these prostitutes as they attempted to protect their health. so the customers would try to find customers who would see them without condoms.

Registering with the sheriff can be a conundrum, as fingerprints are sent to the FBI. If a woman is known to work as a prostitute, she is subject to various social and economic penalties such as being unable to get health insurance, discrimination in housing or future employment, or accusations of unfit motherhood. In several countries a known prostitute is not allowed to immigrate or her travel is severely restricted.

what does this mean for male prostitution?

yeah it exists ppl

Can u FEEL the gender bias now? lol feeeeeeeeeelllll the burn...lol

and what is going to happen to the street walkers besides their business going up which is DANGEROUS?!

it won't outside of nevada, the same reasons why weed, and gambling is illegal.

it's considered a corruption by political and religious terms.

Not too bad Bruh… However, anyone can find negative information on any subject and you made some good points like, the individual states can manage and regulate it in different ways. True… Just like they do with Insurance and Real Estate. Each State has its’ own “DOI & DRE.

The information that you cut and pasted in the post is flawed on some points like;
"If the customer chooses a woman, the price negotiations take place in the woman's room, which are often overheard by management.” Not all of them, some I am sure of… “If the customer arrives by cab, the driver will receive some 20% of whatever the customer spends” not a percentage but a fixed fee.

The houses discourage and in many cases forbid prostitutes to see doctors of their own choosing. That is such bull shit. This has the sound of an unhappy person that allowed someone/thing/system to run her life instead of her taking control. It is not slavery bruh…. These ladies can come and go per the schedule they set. Man… Just think about this for a sec… What is to stop anyone to see any Doctor they please when they are off the clock??? And the travel thing, I can’t buy that shit in any way unless they have an STD and are known for spreading it.

Dude, you can find all the shit you like about this… I say that if two people decide to exchange sex for any form of consideration it should be between the parties involved.

What has taken place these past days in the media with them exposing the young lady for the sake of a story was fuck up! They are wrong! For the most part, porn is legle. If the that act was legal then maybe things would be different.

Stay up!

actual..there is a difference in regulation of state insurance and PRIVATE...a lot of insurance is private..and so is real estate.

2ndly...i'm not trying to expose negatives...i'm trying to set before you the issues of making it legal nationally that will have to be addressed and who will and wont benefit from it.

3rd...i'm not a dude

4th...yeah i believe that him resigning isn't enough..he should be brought up on purgery, tampering with evidence, soliciting a prostitute and any other charge

also...there should be a full investigation of his usage of state funds
