Man I really fell for this series.. Great writing and artwork.. Top Notch.

Premise

The mice struggle to live safely and prosper among all of the world’s harsh conditions and predators. Thus the Mouse Guard was formed. After persevering against a weasel warlord in the winter war of 1149, the territories are no longer as troubled.[1] They are not simply soldiers that fight off intruders; rather, they are guides for the common mice looking to journey without confrontation from one hidden mouse village to another. The Guard patrols borders, finds safeways and paths through dangerous territories and treacherous terrain, watches weather patterns, and keeps the mouse territories free of predators. They do so with fearless dedication so that they might not just exist, but truly live.

Saxon, Kenzie, Sadie, Leiam, and Celanawe are out during a bitter winter that has befallen the Mouse Territories. They embark as ambassadors for Gwendolyn in an attempt to unite the Mouse Territories and aid Lockhaven throughout the winter, for the home of the Guard Mice is short on supplies.

EDIT: Pretty good start after MC.. It's good to see the X-men .. or whats left of them Relaxing like they used to. Got tired of them being strictly in costumeall the time.

Much respect to this post.....after 26 yrs it was this post that has gotten me to looking for DC stories after being a faithful Marvel reader.(That and Mr.Q Fuccin' up Spidey)

I'm hooked on these Green Lantern/Corps Wars/Darkest Night related stories.

Co-Sign...I was always Marvel, and my brother was DC. Now I know more about DC characters and their past than he do.
 
Man, I hear you guys on how DC is good and all but...

I been collecting comics since I was 8 years old. I would as I still do every year...give DC books a try. They would have a good run for a time but then for no fucking reason...the book I would be reading...the heroes would be fighting a fucking gorilla...man that shit turns me off 100%...can't read the book no more.

I almost dropped Ultimate FF because of the same thing recently but they wrote the red ghost much better than I had thought.

DC does have some great off beat books in there vertigo line up.

This tread is awesome and has helped me make some great purchases...waiting for X-Men: MC trade.

Everybody wanted to use him but none of them talked about it with each other.

He was in Secret War and lost control of the Inhumans
He was in the Illuminati and It was found out that he was a Skrull.
He was in WWH and got the beating of his life.

So what I am thinking is that The Real Back bolt was never in the Illuminati, it was always the Skrull. And the Real Black Bolt got his ass kick by the Hulk for nothing...lol

From what I read online Bendis says that the Secret Invasion will not in anyway be a retconn ( :rolleyes: ) and that the story starts way back in the Secret war / Avengers Disassembled days. He even goes on to admit that if you read New Avengers #1 the shadowy figure hiring Electro is a Skrull, not to mention that in Illuminati #1 after they escape the Skrull says " we have what we need " I have no idea how the whole Silent War / Black Bolt thing will play out ( maybe it wasn't him and thats why it was so easy for his brother to take over? ) But and this is the Kicker Secret Invasion is supposed to have an ending to the whole mess, I mean
what started in Secret war thru Avengers Disassembled, House of M,Civil War, and WWH the whole Shabang. I say last chance
