Do you realy think man landed on the moon in the 60s

Reminds of a time I was in biology class

Teacher claims it was a conspiracy theory

entire class agrees

I asked him "Why do you think it's a hoax"

reply "I saw it on a fox special"

How could you forget about the

FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT NOT BE INFORMED, THERE IS A METEOR FIELD THAT ORBITS BETWEEN US AND THE MOON. AND THINK OF IT LIKE THIS.. IT HAS TO BE GOOD CONDITIONS FOR A SPACESHIP TO TAKE OFF INTO ORNIT...AND THATS WITH MASTER CONTROL'S HELP.. IS A POD OPERATED BY HUMANS IN A UNFAMILIAR TERRAIN BE ABLE TO JUST TAKE OFF AND COME BACK TO EARTH THRU A FUCKING METEOR SHOWER??:smh:

REST MY CASE

No theres not. Theres some debris, but thats about it. Nothing that could be classified as a "meteor field." Lots of its man made and mostly all of it is catalouged. NASA knows where ~99% of objects are orbiting Earth that are large enough to damage a spacecraft.

Idiot China AND Japan was just there with unmanned probes. China AND Japan are both planning manned missions to the moon and mars in the next 10 years.
China and Japan will be the first to tell us if UFO's truly exist.
CHINA and JAPAN will be the first to tell us where ET lives.
China and Japan will beam Anime and kung fu flicks Galaxywide.. TRUST that.

Do your research and talk what you know.
A scientist doesnt debate with the average lunkhead for a reason.

I'm glad you brought light to this. I'm believe that we have not gone to the moon. I would be curious to see the pictures from the China and Japan missions, and compare them to the pictures that were taken by us. I can remember that when china announced they were going about 4 years ago, there was only brief news coverage, and then something mysteriously happened to the craft that was going to take them there.

Reasons I believe there was no landing:

1. America is so quick to claim something, if we went there would be something HUGE up there that was visible from earth with reasonable powered telescopes. WE can see to pluto clearly, but can't see the landers, rovers, flags, and other equipment left on the moon.

2. Radiation. The Van Allen radiation belts are huge, and even traveling at high rates of speed, i'm willing to bet they were exposed for over an hour. And once outside of the protection of the belts, lets not forget there's this big ball of radiation called THE SUN that produces flares and storms that fuck up communications on earth all the time. Unprotected from this radiation and solar wind while in flight and on the moon would be a mistake.

3. Temperature. Let me gather some info for a movement..... ah yes. In the sun the temperature can vary from 214 degrees F to -300 degrees F. Now what that means is, everything they took to the moon must be able to withstand those temperatures. That's the hoses, the glass, the PLASTICS, the COMPUTERS, the PROCESSORS, THE CIRCUITS, the SOLDIERING, EVERYTHING.

and to keep this list short, be cause i could go on for hours, and i have before

4. Technology. I don't think we had the processing power to handle all the variables of space to pull off the landing as they have mapped out for us. The launch, no problem, been there done that (mind you, research all the failed attempts when they first tried to get something off this planet :smh:) then comes the extraction of the lander in flight...a little tough but i think we could handle it. Next, the flight there....4 days....back then a stretch, but i'll give them credit. Now comes the tricky part, traveling at high speed, could the computer handle performing a near miss of the moon, and fire rockets to trap the lander in orbit. PLEASE keep in mind that this has to be done almost PERFECTLY the FIRST TIME ATTEMPTED (think back to the failed attempts to launch).

and one for the road.....

the first picture of a man walking on the moon for the FIRST time was taken at a distance. It was him descending from the lander.... Who took that picture if he was the first to step foot there? :dunno:

For those who are questioning my intelligence or beliefs, I created this thread to bring insight on a long debated topic. As others have said, there are a lot of factors that play a role in making a moon landing a success which I personally believe technology at that time couldn't handle. Between the natural radiation in the vacuum of space and lack of an atmosphere on the moon to protect humans from that radiation, that picture is flawed and their equipment was insufficient to handle all of these factors. And perhaps the other nations lacked the intelligence to disprove America's claims.

There is no meteor field between the earth and the moon. There IS a asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. If there was a Meteor field between the Earth and the moon, the Earth would be constantly bombarded with meteors as its gravity would reel in the meteors.

You would also be able to buy a telescope and view the meteor field yourself. As someone who has observed the moon through a scope before, this is blatantly NOT TRUE.

Black people in 1493:

Bruh #1 - Columbus didn't sail nowhere. Dude was at his sisters house.

Bruh #2 - I know right.

Bruh #3 - And the Earth ain't round either. If this shit was round, why the hell does it look flat.

Bruh #1 - Exactly. All that shit he brought back is fake too. Red people. LMAO. Fuck outta here.

For those that want to know, look hp helium 3. It is almost non existent on the Earth but is abundant on the rocks of the moon due to eons of being hit by the solar radiation. The moon rocks brought back are full of it.

http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/helium3_000630.html

YES. In fact, did you notice the entire white population of Detroit is missing? They went there. :(

Wouldn't be surprised if they did lie, but i wouldnt have cared if they did or not. Really doesnt change my day to day life at this point. Imagine ghettos on the moon though. WEST MOON, NIGGA! firing in space suits and shit

:lol::lol::lol:

And you know that because:

A. You had enough knowledge of science to deduce that the rocks contained hp helium 3

B. You are a scientist and performed the necessary tests to determine the levels of that element contained in the rocks brought back as "specimens"

C. NASA told you and you believed it without questioning the information you were being told

???

I believe the correct answer is apparent.

well, i think not.

when asked to review the landing tapes from nasa earlier this year, an 'interest group' was told that the 10,000 or so tapes were "lost."

how the fuck can anyone lose 10,000 of anything?

not 10 or 1000, but they lost 10,000 tapes? i smell bullshit, and there are no bulls around.

the moon 'landing' was propaganda in its purest form and also used as a justification to dump BILLIONS into the 'real' space missions which are satellites (monitoring).

and one for the road.....

so, so, so true.

Last time this convo was had on BGOL, it spiralled into the DUMBEST post ever on the board.

A few things that the lunar conspiracy theorists should avoid as to avoid looking like retards...

  1. The vacuum of space is NOT the same as a vacuum cleaner. The vacuum of space refers to a void, not a suction device. Last time we had this convo some dude said that if you stood on the moon, the vacuum of space would suck you away (pure stupidity).
  2. The moon has gravity, gravity is a result of MASS and has NOTHING to do with atmosphere.
  3. There is OBVIOUSLY a metal rod in the flag on the moon pic making the flag look "upright" (look at the pic)
  4. The technology that got us to the moon was expensive as shit and there was nothing found there to justify further trips financially, thus, no more trips. Had they found resources of any value there, we would have gone back and set up shop (and no, they would not have found oil since oil is organic).
  5. No way in hell was Russia gonna let us win that space race during the cold war under false pretenses.

I agree with what you have stated.

All I want to know is how you would prove it false. Meaning its our governments word against theirs, how would they prove america never made it to the moon. It would seem impossible.

Didnt america leave shit on the moon that should stil be there? So with the telescopes and satelites of today, shouldnt that stuff be visible?

The case should be closed just by looking at stuff left on the moon, right?

Since there were so many failures, the question should be asked was it the first time it was done successfully? I mean were there other moon landing parties that never made it back?

Russia had the technology to watch that entire mission go down back then and would have gained MAJOR cold-war props had they been able to embarrass the shit out the U.S. with a fake moon mission. China is taking high-res pics of the moon right now and best believe they WILL be looking for the old lander if there is ANY chance it was never there. There hasn't been a hell of a lot of interest in the moon since the U.S. basically pissed away all that money and found nothing of real worth or interest there (other than just the trip itself).

Now if we spent BILLIONS (maybe TRILLIONS) to go to Mars and don't come back with bags of diamonds, alternative fuels, mineral wealth and little martian plants and animals, that trip may be the end of the whole damn space program. NASA can't keep bleeding money and not bearing any real fruit. I mean, there are technologies that were developed by NASA that are used in every day life now, but can you name ONE THING that has actually been discovered or found in space that has benefited humanity (or even corporate America). We could spend that money on exploring the oceans and come back with all kinds of shit that could benefit the world from alternative fuels to cures for disease.

1. do you think america(humanity) has the technology to go land on the moon and beyond?

2. do you think we are alone in the universe?

3. do you think we are the only intelligence with consciousness?

4. do you think we should know where we came from to live on earth?

5. do you think we should know our purpose for being here on earth?

6. do you think we should know where we are going and what we are going to do after death?

7. do you think we should all be taught these things by the education authorities and/or parents?

8. do you think you are really alone when you think you are alone?

9. do you think the white race is really from this planet earth?

What's funny is the same niggas who think the moon landing is fake, are the same dumb fucks who believe in the bible and religion. YOU DUMB ASS HOUSE NIGGAS

Proof?? Where's the space junk or the shit that has been left there.
:dunno::hmm:

Well if you go to palomar on one of the days they are loking at the moon, you can see the module, through the telescope. In fact if you have a powerful enough telescope and th actual coordinates, plus be in the right lace on earth at the right time depending on the lunar cycle, you can se it yourself...... Technologically speaking, it wasnt hard to go to the moon in the 60's, it was just foolishly expensive. the niggas at nasa ARE GOOD AT TRIGONOMETRY, which with enought rocket fuel, will get you to the moon. Plain and simple. I went to space camp and flight command, got pretty close to the older saturn v rockets, saw the vab, flew one of the space shutle simulators (I could perform re-entry and land a space shuttle if I HAD to), i didnt really get the vibe from all the crap i saw that they even NEEDED to fake it. these nigas at nasa have so much shit, and they are such nerds, there is no way they didnt go. thats like telling star trek nerds heres an unlimited budget to throw a sweet convention. You think they are going to hire look-alikes? no fool, they spared no expense. NONE. Come on yall, the moon is only 244,000 miles away. in a vaccum so youve got as close to perptual motion as you can get. hmm lets se the space shuttle on high orbit (120)miles, is describing a circle lemme do some trig some 25,000 miles and change around in 42 minutes. So the space shuttle is traveling approx 29,000 miles an hour. so that would mean that they could be at the moon simply by breaking orbit in 10 hours....now has anyone SEEEN the saturn V roket? trust me that shit is gonna get you the moon i promise you. Wil E. coyote wouldnt ride that shit. yall trippin.....

NO. It was a damn money grab. Just like this global warming bullshit, just like this war, just like Osama bin laden.

-VG

And What money was ther to grab? the moons a dead rock bruh...lifeless........Global warming.....ummm for the first time in reorded history the NORTHWEST PASSAGE WAS ICE FREE......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........doesnt take a genius asshole. havent you sen the national geographic ners sweating about greenland? I cn see that hit melting fast as fuck. look at the time lapse pictures, theses niggas been filming the shit for 30 years daily. the shit is speeding up ridiculously. yall dumb ass niggas stay here with Benny blanco, im out, back to the motherland before manhattan is underwater, and yall really lookin dumb.

man and you have a college sign as your avatar? you need to take that shit down bruh youre dumb as fuck. the meteor belt is between jupiter and saturn or some shit dummy. thats why we pass through it every late summer early autumn and you can see the meteor showers...IF there was an meteor belt betwen here an earth............it wouldnt exist. Why you ask. well, seeing as how earths gravity is strong enough to keep the moon in check, and the moons gravity keps out tides in check, its safe to say thet the meteor would either fall to edarth and burn up mostly, or fall on the moon. theres to much gravity asshole, earth has been here for a couple billion years.....there once was a belt between here and the moon..........3.9billion years ago dickhead.....niggas always trying o be smart, yallsome dumb as niggas, watch the history channel, discover something. shit!

Bruh, I'm telling you, the last time this conversation was posted on BGOL, some of the DUMBEST comments I have ever heard were posted as reasons why we could not have POSSIBLY gone to the moon.

I wonder if this one will come up soon:

We couldn't have gone to the moon because there is no such thing as outer space. We don't live on the Earth, we live INSIDE of it. The "moon" is nothing but the reflection of the Sun coming through a whole in the surface of the Earth and stars are just light coming through other smaller holes.
:smh:

I never could get the cat that posted the above to explain where DAYLIGHT came from, but oh well:rolleyes:

There are literally cats on BGOL with a 15th Century understanding of their surroundings.

How old are you???

If you had actually ever wanted to learn anything TRUTHFUL about the mission (which would require actual reading and comprehension abilities) then you'd have learned in five minutes that there was a camera mounted on the module to record the descent down the stairs. Another camera was later mounted on a tripod once they were on the surface. It's all right there, if you'd bother to learn.

Fuckin' idiots.

:smh:

Many of use have heard the rumors that the famous landing on the moon was faked but it wasn't until recently that I really started thinking bout it more in depth. For starters if you look at the pic of the astronaut holding the US flag, you'll see something that shouldn't happen in the vacuum of space. Also the passing through the Van Allen Belts was possibly impossible for humans to survive at the time due to the amount of sheilding needed for protection from the intense radiation. All of this considered leaves me wondering what else have we been lied to as historical events and never gave 2nd thought to.

Shepard_moon.jpg

There's a metal rod (horizontal) at the top of that flag.

oh word i stand corrected then, what i should have said was that there was no gravitational pull

its hella weak compared to the earths

There is a strong gravitational pull. What do you think cause the tides to shift twice a day? Gravity is the weakest of the four forces of nature (Strong & Weak Nuclear, Electromagnetic and Gravity).

Matter of fact, you defeat it every second of everyday. Pick up a pencil or get out of that chair you're sitting at. You just beat gravity.

There's a metal rod (horizontal) at the top of that flag.

There is a metal rod at the top of the flag...still doesn't explain the flag waving near the bottom after it's been left alone...especially considering there is no air for it to wave in.

**SIGH**

It's NOT actually "waving," dumbass.

"Firstly the flag had a horizontal bar attached to it at the top. This was done so that the flag would stand out from the flagpole. NASA appreciated that there would be no wind on the moon, so any normal flag would just hang limply and unattractively down the pole. To make things look better they added a bar that stood out at 90 degrees from the pole. The flag was really hanging from this, rather than from the pole. The bar was also not quite the full width of the flag, so that it was slightly furled to give a 'wave look' to it."

Ninja you can't spell ORBIT. So Why are you talking!!!?

capricorn one (there currently making a sequel to this film capricorn 2)

The setting is the late 1970s, and the first manned mission to Mars is on the pad ready to launch. NASA authorities (Holbrook) realize that a faulty life support system has doomed any chance of a successful flight, so for political and financial purposes they decide to fake the landing rather than scrub the mission.

Minutes before launch, the bewildered crew (Brolin, Waterston, and Simpson) is removed from the ship and flown to an old United States Army base deep within the desert. The televised launch proceeds on schedule, but the public is unaware that the spacecraft (Capricorn One) is unmanned.

At the remote Army base, the astronauts are informed they will fake the television footage from Mars and it is their patriotic duty to participate. Initially they refuse, but authorities imply their careers and the lives of their families are at stake if they do not cooperate.

The astronauts remain in captivity for a period of several months and are filmed "landing on Mars" within a studio located at the base. The conspiracy is known to only a select few NASA officials, but alert technician Elliot Whittier (Walden) stumbles across something absurdly impossible. The television transmissions are arriving ahead of the spacecraft telemetry. He speaks to a journalist friend Robert Caulfield (Gould) about his concerns.

When Whittier mysteriously disappears, Caulfield becomes suspicious and begins investigating the Mars mission, resulting in several attempts upon his life.

At the military base, the astronauts begin to realize that if the conspiracy is to remain intact, they will eventually have to be eliminated. The astronauts' suspicions become reality when their empty capsule burns in space during reentry. The captive astronauts immediately stage a daring escape and attempt to evade military forces in order to expose the conspiracy. Stranded in the desert, they try to make their way back to civilization while being pursued by a pair of helicopters.

In the end, Commander Brubaker (Brolin) is the only crew member to avoid capture. Caulfield's investigation leads him to the desert, where he finds the military base and the set, and with the help of a crop duster pilot (Savalas), he manages to save Brubaker. The film ends with Caulfield and Brubaker arriving at the astronauts' memorial service, exposing the conspiracy in dramatic fashion

Yes, you can see the landing craft with the proper telescope.
2. Radiation. The Van Allen radiation belts are huge, and even traveling at high rates of speed, i'm willing to bet they were exposed for over an hour. ***sigh***you don't need to be protected from ALL radiation. And you have no idea of the distances involved. Metal less than 1/2 inch thick will protect you from the radiation.
3. Temperature. Let me gather some info for a movement..... ah yes. In the sun the temperature can vary from 214 degrees F to -300 degrees F. ***double sigh*** Miss the moon? The moon has GRAVITY. That little rocket was in ORBIT. The landing craft had two sections, the part that took the men back to the orbiter was much more manuvereable.
and one for the road.....

the first picture of a man walking on the moon for the FIRST time was taken at a distance. It was him descending from the lander.... Who took that picture if he was the first to step foot there? :dunno:

This is bullshit. The first picture was of his feet touching down. The guy coming down the ladder was the SECOND guy. Damn, you got nothing but misinformation in this post.
