How do you tell a girl she has bad feminine hygeine without hurting her feelings?

I can't take it anymore. My girl's pussy stanks sometimes. Sometimes I go into the bathroom after she pees, and the bathroom smells horrible. It's a vile indescribable smell. I know it's her feminine hygeine. Also, sometimes her washcloth smells louldly putrid. If we have sex for a long time, our bedroom will smell foul.

I've dropped hints. And she does dousche sometimes: I've seen the dousche bottles. Still, feminine hygenine wise, she's the worst girl that I've ever been with. We've lived together for about 3 years now. I don't want a fixable problem to be the reason why we break up. Still, something has to be done.

Any advice?

Maybe she has an infection of some sort... Bacterial Vaginosis... chlamydia can give a woman foul odors too... She shouldn't douche because she can be pushing the infection back up into her va-jay-jay... If you been together that long, you should just be able to up and say it... let her know.. if you don't.. someone else will...

She should see a gyno. . especially if she is douching because douching isn't good for the vagina despite what many people think. If she has a foul smell. . she might have a vaginal infection or STD. .

Some possibilities:

Trichomoniasis

(trick oh mo NEYE ah sis)

"Trich" is a condition caused by a protozoan — a microscopic, one-cell animal. It is a common cause of vaginal infection. More than seven million Americans are infected with trichomoniasis every year.

Common symptoms — if they occur

* frothy, often unpleasant-smelling discharge
* itching in and around the vagina
* blood spotting in the discharge
* swelling in the groin
* urinating more often than usual — often with pain and burning

Only rarely do men have symptoms. Sometimes women have no symptoms. It takes from three to 28 days for symptoms to develop.

How trichomoniasis is spread: vaginal intercourse; mutual masturbation; if fluids from one partner are passed to the genitals of the other

Diagnosis: microscopic examination of vaginal discharge

Treatment: Both partners can be successfully treated with drugs.

Protection: Condoms reduce the risk of infection with trich.

Bacterial Vaginosis

(BAK-teer-yal VAJ-in-osis)

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is a condition caused by a change in the balance of different kinds of bacteria in the vagina. Most women will get BV at some point in their reproductive years. When there are symptoms, they often appear as a form of vaginitis — an irritation of the vagina often associated with a vaginal discharge. BV is not always due to sexual activity. However, women who are sexually active run a high risk of developing the condition. It can develop when an external factor, such as sexual contact, disrupts the balance between beneficial and harmful bacteria.

BV is associated with premature delivery, low birth weight, and pelvic inflammatory disease. It can also increase the risk for HIV infection. Pregnant women with BV run higher risks of early pregnancy loss, especially in the first trimester.

Common Symptoms — if they occur

* strong, unpleasant vaginal odor
* vaginal discharge

However, many women do not have any symptoms.

How BV develops: vaginal intercourse and sex play that includes putting anything into the vagina

Diagnosis

* pelvic exam
* examination of vaginal fluid

Treatment: antibiotics and antimicrobial creams.

Protection: Condoms may reduce the risk of developing BV.

She's on birth control, and we don't use a condom: We've lived together for over 3 years, and have been monogomous (or atleast I know I have) for over 5 years. So if she had a STD, I'd have it too. We both have health care, and we both have regular physicals. So, I don't think it's a STD. Seconldy, LOL, if she was fucking around on me, why would another man tell her that she has bad feminine odor? He's probably just happy he's hitting it.

Bacterial vaginosis is very common and generally men never see any symptoms but can pass it on.

And it doesn't mean the woman has bad hygiene either.

Some women get it periodically. Bad diet, stress, are all contributors.

A woman should be seeing her gynocologist on the regular anyway. She should either know about it or find out.

I get it about twice a year and generally it's during periods when I've been stressed out or severely depressed.

I don't think that she'd voluntarily tell me if she has vaginal discharge. It's like if I had jock itch, I wouldn't tell her. Moreover, I don't relish the idea of bringing that up in a conversation. "Lynn, do you know what I did with my book, oh, and do you have vaginal discharge?" She'd look at me crazy and then get an attitude if I persisted.

First of all douching is not good for her. I only douche once a month after my cycle and that is it.

Secondly, why not say something? I want to know if there is a bugga up my nose just as much as I want to know if I'm not right down there.

Well it's kind of a serious matter. . . You're gonna have it bring it up sometime. You need to find a way to let her know you are concerned. I think in the nicest way possible you should just tell her. There is really no sugar coating something like this.

BV is not exclusively an STD. It can just happen especially if she is douching (a no no that's old school thinking and it harms the environment of the vagina). BV is rare in women who are not sexually active, but it is not strictly speaking an STI. Could also be diet, but she needs to go to the doctor to rule out something more serious. If soap, water, and keeping one's pubes trimmed or shaved is not working off to the doctor. It will be better for you and her because honestly there is no nice way to say it and she may be doing more harm than good in an effort to fix things herself.

Good info from chicutie.

Perhaps it time you did. Especially knowing that you do not use protection. You'd be helping her out. She needs to get to her gyno asap. These things arent the sort of things one wastes time getting around to.

Peace

:lol::lol: A lot of things can lead to a bacterial infection.. if you spit on your dick before you put it in.. that can lead to an infection.. saliva don't belong inside a vagina! Men rarely show symptoms of stds/infections..and BV isn't an STD... she can get it from you and you could have had something from before you met her... it just happens sometimes, even in monogamous relationships..

And hell, another man might not tell her but a girl would... and not in a nice way...

Feelings, shit you are already hurtin':smh:

If it doesn't turn out to be an STD, which I'm quite sure you would know if it was by now. Buy that girl some yougurt or cottage cheese and tell her to start drinking water and eating vegetables. Tell her to wash her pussy and ass really well and wipe front to back~out!

The posters that say she should see a doctor are correct. She should be examined first to rule out an infection. Having a smelly vagina is not normal by any means. If she is bathing everyday, there is no reason why she should be stinking like that. You're her man, so you should find a way to tell her that will not upset her. Just sit her down, tell her you love her but that you have to be honest with her about something. Then tell her there is an odor from her vagina and you want to make sure that her health is not at risk. Then suggest that she make an appointment with a doctor.

Has her pussy always stunk?
I'm glad that's some shit I've never encountered. :puke: I would've been done kicked the bitch to the curb. I've heard bad pussy smells like a dead body :puke:

Real talk-Make sure she isnt douching excessively. That can wash away her natural PH balance and cause her to have a smelly twat. Seriously.
A lot of women dont even know that they dont have to douche.:smh:

You should tell her. I would want my man to tell me. But honestly, unless she has lost her sense of smell, how could she not notice? Women know when something aint right down there. Also, she should be going to see her dr. twice a year. Although I was in a committed relationship. (well, I thought I was! don't get me started on that!) I ALWAYS request to be checked for everything. Not everything shows up in a pap smear and you have to ask your dr. to take a blood test because they do not automatically check for everything.

I would imagine with the odor, there is also discharge, maybe itching. It could be a very bad yeast infection or something. You should find a way to tell her because you may have an infection too and there are many things men can carry without any symptons and spread.

w/o having read anything but this post, 2 things playa:

1. she's likely got recurring yeast infections, or some other vaginal ailment

2. douches are BAD for women's bodies. ask any ob-gyn, or regular MD that knows their shit

douches cause imbalances in the natural body fluids of a woman. she don't need to douche shit. the pussy is a self-cleaning body part internally. all she should be doing is washing the exposed areas like you wash the rest of your body. if it's stankin' when you poke, that shit is deep up inside. she needs to take her ass to a doc. if she won't go, and fuck a hint, don't fuck. i don't care how good she looks, or how good the pussy is, she needs medical attention.

other considerations that should not be ignored by any means are diet, dress, and lifestyle. especially watch the dress one. i had a partner who looks tight as all hell in a thong, but them shits fucked w/her cooch and was not lettin' it breath right. she kept getting infections from that shit. she got mad when i kept at her about the doc shit, but i don't like strange smells on my dick. that shit was nasty, 'cause i could smell the smell on my dick even when we weren't pokin'. UNACCEPTABLE!

if you give a fuck about this chick, strongly encourage her to get that shit right. if it ain't workin' out, don't settle for less than good personal hygiene just to get some pussy. there's a helluva lot of pussy out here that don't stink...

Co-sign!!! Chicks who be wearing them extra tight jeans all the time with thongs are messing themselves up! If you wanna rock the tight assed jeans, wear some underwear with cotton in the crotch. Any dr. will ask you what type of underwear have you been wearing. My dr. also recommends not sleeping in underwear, she says the more air the better!

^^^I don't even wear underwear.

I asked my gynocologist about it and she said outside of jeans, it might actually be better for you.

^^^ True. I wear a thong more like lingerie or for decoration not as true underwear. I wear boyshorts or brazilian cuts during the day if its cold or clothing dictates some undercoverage but sleeping in underwear on purpose (excluding just falling asleep unexpectedly) :smh:

You just need to tell her about it. I'm sure she would say something ifyour ass smelled and you never washed it...

Your damn right! Women have so much lip when it comes to what they think is gross, but claim you have to be sensitive when their gash smells like halibut.

:yes: Didnt need a doc to tell me that. Plus its not like I was born wearing any. Damn if it were illegal for what ever reason I'd be nekked all the time. Except in winter :smh: Damn seasons.

Real talk... There really ain't no way to tell a girl that she has an odor without her getting offended/embarassed/humiliated. I've tried all kinds of different approaches. I even try to shed a little light on how I feel about before shit even gets crackin.. And this is days before we do anything just so she knows to check herself out. I stress that I have a NO TOLERANCE rule for odor down there. What I do now is play with her shit before anything with my fingers.. Then, bring it up (without her noticing) to her face while kissing her..etc..She shouldn't notice (if she's worked up) UNLESS she knows that she has an odor.. Then, caress her face and then slowly bring that hand by the nose/mouth area. . If she makes a face like what the fuck is that smell on your fingers simply YOUUUUUUUUUU! (Solja Boy).. Trust me, I've done this a few times and the girl asked me what the smell was.. And of course after that she had to roll..:lol:
