We are a people whos contribution to the world goes beyond entertainment and sports. Many an achievement and innovation has been robbed from us by lies. These lies are designed to keep us in our place and prevent us from seeing the true beauty of our cultures.

Interesting, though math can hardly be classified to a location/ ethnic group. Math is universal.

Preach on, brotha.

Please keep on posting these links, i'm sending them to family and friends :D

Enki/Ptah and especially his son Ningishzidda/Thoth were very very busy leaving clues like that all around their domains. I bet there is a message in those fractals if we could only find the codekey.

Thank you for an inspirational post. The one about fractals in African culture fascinated me the most. There's so much African history and knowledge that has been lost. I hope I see the day when we rediscover and reclaim what we've lost.

We will. The Gods are trying to reach us every day, but we are too ignorant to respond.

A cultural trait we inherited from Africa is rhythm. Although it may seem trivial it is not. It turns out that what we know as "rhythm" is composed of two elements: beat awareness- ability to sense rhythm, and beat competency- ability to move to rhythm. What one is actually doing is sensing, decoding and processing patterns. Some patterns are complex. African and African derived music has the most complex rhythms of any music. So one who excels at composing, performing or moving to these complex patterns is a sleeping mathematician, since math not only deals with quantities but also relationships and patterns. NO SHIT.
Here are some links to research that has been done on this topic.

One educator has gone as far to recommend restructuring school curiculums in light of this new info. You probably never heard of this because since black children already excel at this they would become star pupils. Can't have that.

Oh, by the way, this is why African American babies tend to walk earlier than other ethnic groups.

Here is some more:
Its funny when historians say ancient Egypt is a mediterranean culture rather than an African one. Well, one way to identify cultural patterns is through architecture. The muslims built domes, the romans aqueducts ect. Where are all the pyramids in Europe? There are very few, just two I know about:the Falicon Pyramid in France and The pyramid of Cestius. This is not a common European pattern of building, and was probably inspired by Egyptian and Nubian models. But a whole lot of pyramids are in Nubia, Africa. They are also found in China and Mesoamerica.

Here are the links:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_pyramids
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesoamerican_pyramids
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_pyramids

And about the ancient Egyptians being Arabs, that ethnic group did not enter the region until the middle ages.

Now that was a good drop and what a way to getting some knowledge!

thanks man we need more of this stuff in here

Ok, I'll keep going.

This is the Project Implicit test. It tests for hidden prejudices and biases. It is well backed by research. The results: most white, asian ect, people in America who take this test hold negative biases against black people. Surprise surprise. Whats interesting is that many people consciously claim to be none prejudiced but fail this test. These notions, subconsciously driven, tend to govern behavior. So, one need not be a clan member, one may have many "BLACK FRIENDS", one need not drop the N bomb to fuck you over.
What happens when black people take this test? Lets just say that there is a reason why conversations among us generally focus on the negative, why many black women fall for bullshit like the down low brother rubbish, brothers aint shit no good brothas out there ect. I also cast doubts about the rationalization of brothas using nigga as a "term of endearment".
If you are curious you can take that test here:
https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/demo/
I'll tell you my results later.

Awareness of the right problem is the first step to creating the right solution.
