Update: Black Mafia Family Boss Pleads Guilty, Ordered To Repay $270 Million

Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, the co-founder of the infamous drug enterprise Black Mafia Family (BMF), will reportedly be facing up to 30 years behind bars after pleading guilty in a Detroit federal court today (November 19).
According to The Detroit News, Big Meech pleaded guilty to running a major drug operation and money laundering before U.S. District Judge Avern Cohn on Monday.
He is expected to be sentenced early next year and must repay $270 million that he earned from drug trafficking.
Meech, who hails from Detroit, formed Black Mafia Family in the late 90’s with his brother Terry “Southwest T” Flenory. BMF was renowned in the Atlanta area for flaunting their lavish lifestyle and was well known in the hip-hop community for their alignment with rappers Young Jeezy and Fabolous.
The Flenorys have been in federal custody since being indicted and arrested on the aforementioned charges in 2005. Southwest T and five other defendants are scheduled to stand trial on November 26th.
Since the arrests of the Flenorys, over a dozen indictments have been issued in seven states naming over 150 people with ties to BMF.
Two of the various indictments against BMF have named celebrity jeweler Jacob Arabov and rapper Bleu Davinci.
Jacob Arabov, who is well known in the hip hop community as Jacob The Jeweler, was indicted last year for money laundering for accepting money from the BMF and giving them jewelry in return without reporting the transactions.
Last month, as part of a plea deal, Jacob plead guilty to two counts of making false statements to investigators and in exchange prosecutors dropped the money laundering charges against him.
The jeweler was ordered to forfeit $2 million to the government and is expected to face 37 to 52 months behind bars when he is sentenced next year.
Rapper Blue DaVinci was also indicted in October for participating in BMF’s drug trafficking.
Davinci was the only artist on BMF’s record label, BMF Entertainment, and took over the label’s reigns after Big Meech was sent to jail. Feds believe that the record label was a front for BMF’s drug trafficking.

pay back $270 million to who? Maybe because there's no "Son of Sam" law in Michigan and they wanted to make sure he didn't capitalize of his street legend. Just a guess....because they know he has no means of paying that back in full, anything thing he does get goes to whitey.
