Even Salt and Pepa, both clearly straight, do not act that feminine in my opinion, especially Pepa.

Look at the age these rappers grew/blew up in, the 80's, where female rappers where taken less seriously. They had to be asexual to fit in and be taken seriously. It wasn't until the mid 90's that a female rapper could be sexy and rap.
