UPDATE: Donald Trump Takes Office as the 47th US President

For those who think this doesn’t affect you.

Remember, health insurance is controlled by private insurance companies. That includes Medicaid enrollees.

If people are removed from Medicaid rolls, private insurers lose money.

So take a wild guess how they gonna make up the loss?

If you currently have health insurance, regardless if it’s private or union/government. Your costs will go up to make up for the loss.

New York Republicans are reportedly panicking that Donald Trump’s increasingly friendly relationship with Mayor Zohran Mamdani could blow up their midterm strategy, including Bruce Blakeman’s campaign for governor.
NBC News’ Dasha Burns reports that her phone was “blowing up with GOP operatives” during Trump and Mamdani’s friendly press conference.
“It’s a total nightmare” for New York Republicans, one GOP operative told Burns. “This destroys whatever campaign Bruce Blakeman had for Governor.”
Another Republican operative reportedly warned: “We need a course correction right now on the narrative of the midterms and we need to put everyone on the same page.”
The panic comes as Republicans have sought to make Mamdani and democratic socialism central targets of their midterm messaging, while Trump publicly praised the New York City mayor, saying he wants Mamdani “to be a great mayor” and that “he certainly has potential.”

Renee Nicole Good's mother, Donna Ganger, said she is a Republican who voted for President Donald Trump, but is calling for accountability after an ICE officer shot and killed her daughter in Minneapolis earlier this year.

Ganger was among several loved ones who spoke at a Capitol Hill forum on deadly shootings by federal immigration agents, saying supported Trump because she believed federal agents would protect Americans from terrorists.

"I voted for President Trump under the impression that these agents were here to protect the citizens of the United States, innocents, like our family, and the others here, against terrorists, certainly not to accuse those of us here of being terrorists and take precious lives," Ganger testified. "This is madness."

Good, 37, a U.S. citizen, was shot on January 7 in south Minneapolis during Operation Metro Surge. City leaders said she was not a target for arrest, but the Trump administration said she tried to weaponize her SUV and harm ICE agents…

A U.S. delegate walked out of the United Nations General Assembly during Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s address on Wednesday. Pezeshkian rejected President Trump’s characterization of Iranians as “terrorists,” saying Iranians had been the "victims of terrorism" after holding up pictures of children he said had been killed by U.S. and Israeli bombs.
The walkout came a day after most of Iran’s delegation left the chamber during Trump’s speech. Trump threatened to annihilate the Islamic Republic and said he could either make a deal with Iran or “drive them into hell.” He later described a meeting with U.S. and Iranian officials at the General Assembly as “very good.”

• An unusual playlist entertained aides and media members as they waited for President Donald Trump to sign an agreement expanding the U.S. military presence in Greenland.

• The pre-event playlist notably featured a cover of the ballad Send in the Clowns from the musical A Little Night Music.

• The song includes the lyrics: “Sorry, my dear, But where are the clowns Quick, send in the clowns. Don’t bothеr, they’re here.”

• Other tracks selected for the gathering included Phil Collins' One More Night and Foreigner's classic hit I Wanna Know What Love Is.

• The musical lineup concluded with Frank Sinatra's iconic anthem My Way playing right before Trump entered the room for the official signing.
