UPDATE: Donald Trump Takes Office as the 47th US President

A superpower in rapid decline, defeated by its own hubris and incompetence. Not necessarily because it lost this war militarily -what is far more detrimental is the irreversible loss of perceived invincibility and of the narrative.

Yes, the Iran war is the biggest blunder in US history, but the final nail in the coffin of US hegemony is not a mere military defeat. It is the complete destruction of its superiority and credibility by surrendering its sovereignty to special interests and foreign powers.
The end of US dominance started long ago when it turned itself into a political auction house. It started with Super PACs, Super Delegates and Citizens United -with Miriam Adelson, Benjamin Netanyahu and AIPAC.
And it will end with them.

The US today may be able to kidnap or assassinate political leaders, steal resources in broad daylight, and bomb schoolchildren, weddings, hospitals and universities. It can commit genocide and drop phosphorus bombs on the refugees it created inside an open-air concentration camp. It can project fear like a rogue terrorist entity. But it cannot pretend to be the good guy anymore. It cannot expect to be trusted anymore. It cannot influence its allies anymore. It cannot convince its own people.
And it will never again be able to convince young Americans to die in its illegal, horrendous wars.

US world domination is falling apart in real time.

Iran just accelerated the inevitable collapse.

Crazy part about all of this, even if they reduce the interest in half or payments by 40 -50%, that shit would jump start the economy by so much.....

Fetterman is so leaving the party. Maybe God can convene a meeting with Mitch, Lindsey, and that older person from a northern state.
They can have that Lazy bum

Fetterman found a way to be marked present at hearings, “then leave”

After reports scrutinized his Senate attendance, records showed Fetterman had skipped 11 of 12 full committee hearings during one stretch.

The Journal reported that Senator Katie Britt (R-AL) later explained how senators could check in before leaving for other business. Fetterman subsequently had aides help ensure clerks noticed his arrival only for him to “then leave and go about his day,” according to former staffers:

Britt, through a spokeswoman, said she merely explained to Fetterman that “most members typically check in and then go about their days with meetings, speeches, votes, and other engagements while they wait for their turn to actively participate.”

Soon after, Fetterman implemented the strategy with his aides, including deploying an advance staffer to catch the clerk’s eye, so Fetterman could get credit for attending even though he only drifted into the room for a minute or less. Since last June, Fetterman was marked present at 26 out of 31 full hearings of his assigned committees, transcripts show, even though in 20 of them he didn’t say a word.
