Jeanie fired her brother Jim in 2017. She then fired her 2 younger brothers Joey & Jesse in 2025. She fired 3 of the 6 siblings so she was the only one still involved with the Lakers after the Mark Walter's sale.

This new sale, the other 5 siblings voted to sale. The needed 4. You need 15% ownership to be a governor of a team so the siblings essentially got back at Jeanie by firing her with the sale and get to split 2.2 billion from this second sale, after splitting 3 billion last year from the first sale.
